While I don't struggle with this I choose not to be social. In a social gathering with strangers upon meeting for the first few times I just listen and don't say much but yeah...or uhm...or right.

I've never been diagnosed with this, and it's not a normal state for me (social anxiety disorder), but I did experience something for a couple of months that was probably that. It was by far the hardest mental issue I've ever dealt with, because it was relentless.

Either way you still welcome here to talk about it.

I got it from my previously position at work. I would have panic attacks at work and dreaded going.

I still drug my ass to work but it was hell.

I was super successful too.

But being so exposed to no management support and no relief from people being demanding idiots was hell.

The worst part having to deal with tactless, patronizing, and know-it-alls. You're just shy, All you gonna do is talk.

I have.

I have found no such thing as a "work through it or talk more" that has been helpful. Anxiety is more complex than it is given credit for. It can't be explained and someone that does not suffer has no clue but quite often think they know the simple cure. I take Prozac, it helps with my resting state but does nothing for the situations that will cause me anxiety. It also killed my Libido. I still think thoughts but have no drive to act and I'm sure it has contributed to my ED issues.
