Let's put it this way. Calling someone fat is not giving them a compliment. It is derogatory and a word that fat people are trying to reclaim.

But what is your definition of fat?

For instance, I don't consider dad bods to be fat. But that's just my own opinion.

Also depending on how you take it and who is conveying the message, it isn't always derogatory. If I had a gym instructor who told me I'm getting fat and need to shed some, I'd take that as constructive advice.

This topic kind of fucks with my head. Like I feel people who are overweight should accept that fact, and not live in a delusion. Its unhealthy, and they will be more likely to die early. If people are cool with it thats fine, but if not lose it and change. At the same time its pretty rude to tell someone they are fat as a way to put them down, or especially use it as a way to win an argument. In the end its best to keep your mouth shut altogether. If they want to change they will figure it out on their own. If not let them do their thing and mind your own business.

Yes but there was a previous post on that but it's not in your screenshot. The fish threw the first punch by telling @_Dazed he was too fat to eat pizza. He just hit back.....harder.

That's how the body shaming started? OK.

So now she has graduated from face shaming to body shaming.

I can't wait to see what happens when she starts slut shaming.

For myself: anything higher than 15% body fat makes me feel uncomfortable.

For others: anything that starts making a lot of body movements difficult.

Would never say it allows any conclusions on the persons personality given how many things can cause it.

I subscribe to this.

I don't even know what the definition is anymore.

I've been called fat when I wasn't fat and when I was.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason but a word to make someone feel bad about themselves.

I have all the rights in the world to budge in and participate in this topic because I’ve been there and I KNEW I was fat! Did I wanted to hear it? No!

Had people gave a fuck? No! Have I lost weight? No! Could I stop people from calling me fat? No!

Does world consist of sensitive blind kind people only? No! So STFU Fat Ass and DO something about being fat! Or don’t...but stop being overly sensitive as if I don’t see you wearing clothes size of a cover for the tank!

Yes, I SEE your fat rolls moving under your sweater when you moving. Surprised? Don’t be. You can wear your clothes right size.

My friend who is size 26 says it am fat and I hate it but I also hate fat people who aren’t me...lol

So people don’t pretend to be fat-blind! But opening your piehole and vocalizing it - meh - I don’t know...does it make you feel better? Really?

Go ahead and say it. Happy now? No shit! Because you have other issues. But you don’t think you do.

Do you?

I know one thing is that if I knew how not being fat feels - I would lose my weight a long time ago!

And now seeing people with those rolls falling out of their clothes all I am feeling is that - sorry!

It’s an endless conversation and I have to go back to sleep. See ya...don’t be fat! 😂😂😂

And is it an accurate gauge for defining a person's personality?

Discuss.

I prefer synonyms like Overweight (above the normal weight of ones body type) and Obese (the next term is used to describe excessive body fat - as in - way more than the body can handle - thus, posing a high risk to ones good health)

Also, personality defines an individual way of thinking, feeling and behaving - as expressed by ones persona. Thus, a person can embody a fat personality without actually being overweight or obese. Not in the initial phase - at least, cause... that's actually how (and why) most healthy individuals end-up overweight or obese. If you're a healthy individual to begin with - it's usually quite impossible to adopt a healthy personality - and gain more fat than necessary. After all, that's something you have to maintain - through over-indulgence or a sedentary life style .

I don’t fat shame other people, not even in my thoughts. On the other hand, anorexics, like my Taurus mum, somewhat irritate me.

I do consider myself fat if I’m a stone heavier than a very subjective ideal weight. Then I want to lose that stone, fast. I’m doing it now.

Idk people seem to refer to people being obese as fat. What is overweight.. are we going by BMIcuz that can say overweight when it doesn’t seem like someone is. I’m confused 🤷‍♀️
