Cold Sore

I got a massive cold sore on my bottom lip. It is huge and itchy. I tried putting abreva on it. But it isn't doing any good as the expensive stuff says it would.

Abreva is crap. Dont put anything on it.

If you do need to put something on it, preparation H for swelling. Also try taking lysine.

Eww, ice and camphor. It is what I use. Ice brings down the swelling and the camphor is a pain reliever + antibacterial.

I've been getting them since I was a baby. So I don't know.

You can get it from drinking out of a water fountain, share chap stick/lipstick or share a drink with someone that has a cold sore.

I ended up with a cold sore it doesn't sound as bad as yours, what I use is aloe vera have an aloe plant I put aloe on the cold sore it helps to dry it out. I don't use anything else. The cold sores never get swollen, they are itchy, sometimes there is pain. I found another remedy on line I haven't tried it but Tea Tree oil I'm going to try it.

Tea tree oil is like amazing

It annoys me with people insinuating that if a girl gets a cold sore on her lips that she is a whore. Hinting to wxyx33.

@Op- It is heredity, my brothers get them, my mom and I. It really comes out when I eat certain things too like avocado, oranges, tomato, and grapefruit..

It is called Herpes Simplex 2 nothing to worry about but it is contagious, just like the other Herpes family. So sharing is out of the question..

One thing that works better than any expensive shit is ECHINACEA lotion/balm.

I have a friend who tried everything on the market for this...racking up expensive costs.

It's 1 dollar here....put it on the sore and it will vanish within days.

I figured it was genetics. You aint a hoe when you get it and you've been asexual your whole life.

I personally never got it. But wow I love every one of those fruits and I'd hate for those to trigger oral herpes.

@SassyKiwi- Yeah I don't get them until I eat certain items that I mentioned. Once a winter or summer. Lol

@Katana- Oh when I looked it up it came up as HsV 2, there are many types actually . Lol. I just know my family gets them. But of course if alot of people get these their parents lied to them about safe sex, and pregnancy. I am going to have to talk to my mom.
