I'm no psychologist, but i'd guess a good 90% of dxp peeps need a lesson in letting go of the past... 😉
Disclaimer: self medicating with chardonnay and short circuiting my memory chips since ages ago!
This might sound too extreme and it's never going to happen on any forum, but I wish that there were no hide options, option of thread deletion (even though I do see some big pros in those), or anything along those lines. Why? Stand behind shit you say. You started it, finish it. You said it, don't hide it. And yes, I wish that deleted accounts wouldn't disappear, merely become deactivated. Not because of interesting stuff gone, but because all you said, be it good or bad, shouldn't vanish just because you bailed and came back all new & fresh. No censure.

This is along the lines of what I was thinking.
I was looking back at my threads, it's astonishing how many people deleted their account. Many of them created a new account later. Has it always been like this on dxp, where people delete an account and start a new one immediately? I can see people leaving for awhile for personal reasons and coming back. But deleting your account and immediately creating a new one, I don't understand? Not all of the people who created a new account messed with me, but it is interesting the individuals who followed me the most deleted 🙂. I sure do miss those memories, now I'll never get them back 😢.
I hide messages when dxp stutters and makes repeats. It disturbs the conversational flow. That makes my Virgo Lilith a sad panda.
I was wondering on the Is Dxp real life? Thread, scorchedearth made the statement dxp was down for a couple weeks last year and no one died. I was wondering if any threads got deleted in the process, besides the members that didn't return? And yeah my phone is touchy, so sometimes I double post or before I'm ready it posts while I'm previewing my message.
I agree with this thread. Before I joined DXP, I would search astrological questions online then DXP net it. So some individuals names I remembered when I joined. I remember Nefers name. So when I joined I found out she died. Many people supported her family and wanted to keep her Profile open. I know some individuals, acted as if her family should bow down because DXP saved her profile. So how can individuals like andssssss continue to create new accounts, but it was such a big deal to keep her messages on these forums? Especially individuals that spend more time on this site than most other users. Individuals came to know her as a person and cared for her family. So why wouldn't they want some memories they had with her to remain?

When someone goes away and deletes can't we keep the threads?
But convert their username into "Guest" or type "deactivated" it beneath the avi.
I don't know..a lot of interesting shit has disappeared over the years.
I get that it's the user who started the thread's prerogative but what about us who posted in those threads?
