Hello - a workmate and I recently confessed we had feelings for each other at a conference in June. He works on the east coast, I work in Australia. We have worked together for almost 4 years though in different countries, and we meet about 3-4 times a year over which time workmateship > friendship > crush. About 3 weeks after we confessed on the final day of the conference (nothing happened), I had a chance to go to the US for a work trip, and he drove up 5 hours to meet me there for what would I guess be a 30 hour first date which went AMAZINGLY well (yes it included a stay over). Since I am not going to be in the US till October, when I relocate, we agreed to keep in touch and not kickstart a relationship till I get there - my decision, he agreed. Still, we ended up talking, chatting, phone and text, non stop from then till now - mostly initiated by him but heavily reciprocated by me, high frequency, no matter how busy we both were. Except that suddenly in the last 4 days he has gone deathly silent. I have sent him one casual message a day, the last being a birthday message on Friday. He was at a work conference all this week, but that hasn't stopped him in the past, infact he loves telling me how the meetings are going and getting my advice on career stuff (which I love 🙂). So, what gives? Birthday blues? Doesn't know how to let me know he wants to let me go? Suddenly not into me? He isn't the type to have other girls on the side, cause he was seriously way into me (in his own words when I mentioned it was scary to make the decision to not kickstart till Octover, "I can't believe you would worry about me going to someone else, if there was someone I would fall in love with it would be you"). I'm happy to get over him, but should I? Or should I wait a bit longer?
