So I had a conversation with the Leo man (Scorpio moon) I've been seeing for two months now, mostly because there is a Gemini guy (who is from the same small country as him) who is very interested in me and has made it clear that he wants to be with me.

The thing is that at this point, I like the Leo guy more than the Gemini guy, but things could change down the road. I asked him if he is dating others and he said that his sex drive is low but he doesn't do monogamy (is that a contradiction?) He is mostly busy with his own work and hobbies. I mentioned the Gemini guy to him, telling him that Gem dude is crazy about me. He said "well, you should date him then" but then kept talking to me about how he is etc. I said we can remain friends, as he is a wonderful guy otherwise. We have been getting closer emotionally recently, and today was probably the most emotional conversation we had. He said we should be talking soon and signed his message with "kisses" (he never did that before). What is going on here.

My gut tells me that he is conflicted and indecisive even though he hides it well.

His chart is:

Sun - Leo
Moon - Scorpio
Merc - Leo
Venus - Libra
Mars - Cap
Jupiter - Sag
Saturn - Sag
Uranus - Cap
Neptune - Sag

What was the purpose of telling him about the Gemini guy, when you just said you liked the Leo more? To incite jealousy? To get a reaction?

As a fellow Leo with the same moon and merc, that's exactly how I would've seen it and it would've raised some major red flgs. It shows possible insecurities and a potential inclination to play games. For myself there is no indecisiveness, I would write that person off as a long-term prospect. It's more a matter if the other person can recognize being put into a 'platonic'/'friend'/'filler person' category and why.

If nothing else I'd consider it classless to bring up someone else that you're dating, and go further to mention how 'crazy' this other person is about you. It sets up a competition and I've absolutely no interest in competing, nor would I do that to a person I was dating. I'd also question their interest and intent with me if they felt the need to bring someone else up as a passive-aggressive way to gauge what my genuine interest is. I'd rather someone be open and direct than play games.

It may not have been intentional, but that's definitely how it reads.

Based on what you posted he didn't waver.
It's pretty clear to me, he wants sex with no commitment.
Even if it's not a lot of sex, he doesn't want a relationship.
Or not interested in one with you.

Leo told you he doesn't want anything serious.

Put Leo on the back burner and start dating the Gem.
That's if you are interested in the Gem. If not let him go too.
Your attraction should never usurp your need for the right man in your life.

The Gem guy is the universe telling you, this is how a guy interested should show it.
The universe is good that way. 😉

A Leo guy did this to me once.
Told me a Gem girl was chasing him but he was really into me.
I had the SAME reaction. Maybe it was my Leo Mercury/Venus talking. 😆

It always backfires.
And poor Gems being used to make folks jealous and people don't give a shit. 😆

@OP. As a Leo rising and a Leo moon, the minute a person mentions another attachment /interest... I'm gone... CCompletely off the boil. Cut your losses. If you mentioned the gem to make the leo jealous sorry it backfired. That'll teach you a lesson not to do that in future and to play your cards straight. Leo will 'sex' you but long term commitment / partnership.... forget it...

+1

Well, one thing is certain.... With the mention of the other guy.. The leo will not fight for you. He will gladly let the other guy have you.

Because he's not interested.

Oh I didnt know that....mentioning the other guy was definitely gonna change that.

People do this when they realize they are getting no where with the object of desire and make a last ditch effort to incite some sign of interest.
Not a total loss as the human brain is flexible and forgiving.

Definitely, particularly your Venus in Leo! Leos may have a bad rap for being flashy and flirty, but we take loyalty and devotion seriously. Even if we're only considering someone, you can see a Leo focusing on them more and more, ignoring anyone else in their periphery. It's how we are, it's what we offer, and we expect no less than the same.

If you're not sure that we're the ones you want, then we ARE sure we don't want you.

Really kinda cool to see how people with different Leo placements can resonate and have the same feelings/reactions about it 🙂

Agree, it's lovely to see other signs who totally get it. Wonder if it's also possible similarities between fixed signs. Just thinking that I could also see the exact same reaction coming from a Taurus.

Yes to all of it. 😱
I must have loyalty, faithfulness and devotion in order to reciprocate.
I wonder if this is ego or pride?

@LunarMaiden,

I honestly don't think it has anything to do with ego or pride. When what someone does somehow reflects on us and our worth for better or worse, and is more important than what we think or anyone who really cares about us thinks... THAT is ego or pride.

When it comes to loyalty it's pretty simple. We will happily give everything we have to those we love and care about, without question or thought of recompense. If we're in love it isn't simply a matter of 'Yes we're pretty faithful'. You are literally the ONLY person we see, no one else exists but you. You are as secure as anyone could be, you'll never have to question our loyalty.

So I think it's a matter of reciprocity and security. Knowing how focused/devoted we can be, I don't think it's unreasonable to want the same level of security and reassurance. That what we give will not be wasted, will be appreciated and offered back to us. Nothing makes a Leo shine more than when the only person they want only wants them too.

I find that it took me awhile to understand my Leo placements.
Whereas Leo sun's seem to be more in tuned and comfortable with those characteristics.

@UL. I am also taurus!! Lol lol Thats why I also feel that Leos and taurus can make good partnerships because of their similarities!!

I know you are, that's why I'd mentioned that haha

I think they can, but there are some inherent obstacles between them, mainly in that they speak different languages. If they can figure out how to communicate with each other (whether actions, words or both), I think there's the potential for something seriously extraordinary.

... or that could be MY starry eyes for a Taurus talking 😆

Actually, the whole thing was revealed when he told me he erased some of the nude pics he took of me from his cell phone. I jokingly said to him "why, do you have a gf and are afraid she will see them?" Then it was slowly revealed that this guy is not monogamous and has never been, that he has a low sex drive, is focused on his own stuff, and, after some coaxing from me, he admitted that he is emotionally attracted to men.

I thanked him for his honesty, told him I want to still be friends with him and that he is wonderful, but that the Gem is interested in dating me. That was all. And then he said we would talk soon and "kisses".

I find it hard to believe that Leo ego will not get involved in this.

you like the leo more than the gemini? then why are you bothering with the gemini in the first place?

it just means you are settling if the leo don't want you.

his indecisiveness is probably his venus in libra :

http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/idealwomanforaman.html<BR>

If a man's Venus is in Libra, he is most attracted to femininity expressed as understated charm, good manners, and a simple but beautiful appearance. Coarseness or rudeness is often a turn-off.

you have libra of course, even plenty of it, so you understand his love nature.

oh he has Scorpio moon. Hmm *scratches chin* well, he's testing you probably. lol

Hey Lotus, are you taking the leos for a ride...? I don't think they comprehend your sense of humour...

Can't wait to hear how it progresses with the Gem, sweetheart. See you on the Gem forum!

Ha! Yeah, the Pisces/Pisces was a nightmare and is now history. He was clearly the worst of the bunch. At least this Leo dude is honest and I admire him for that.
