Currently talking to a Leo with Cancer moon and I can’t read between the lines well.
I told him we should hang out later in the day yesterday morning, then he called last night and asked what I was doing,(I was grabbing dinner) gave me some line about how he plans out his day starting in the morning and how he doesn’t change it, he sticks to plans.
He never said he would meet with me so I made other plans.
We’ll see how this goes. I’m not good with Aquas and if you guys are similar it will probably be the same. I don’t have time to guess and wonder what a Leo wants.

I managed it just fine with a penis & an Aries stellium. But don't take my word for it. Ask his ass to show you my etched handprint on his big fat cheek.

I've never actually seen this work. Personally I think Aquas are just far too detached from their own emotions for the big hearted Leo. I've personally dated two, one of which expressed her interest first in me and it still fell apart. I suppose a Leo with a lot of air or Aries placements can make this work. Watery Leos, Earthy Leos, and even some Fiery Leos may find this problematic.

Agree and disagree. My parents are a happily married Leo/Gem couple so clearly there's something to it. However they also both have Aries Moons and similar placements to each other.
Personally having dated all three air signs myself, I can't say it's a perfect match. Then again I have more water and earth placements and very little air. Air signs just come across as too flaky.

I'm not saying it's not possible, and yes Leos and Aquas can make very good friends. Also having Aqua placements isn't necessarily the same as being an Aqua Sun. A sign in the sun placement tends to act differently than in other placements. However the trick is getting an Aqua to open up emotionally. Likewise Aquas have a tendency to contradict themselves, which can be a huge turn off.
