What animals are you guys in the Chinese realm ? That information might help in figuring out your approach. As far as what's karmic or not that's kinda difficult because everything is karma (work) but we still have the free will to chose the "time" that we do the work in. Also there's distinct possibility that you and this Leo were married in a past life. If not try to figure what positions you guys held in the past. Chances are that forgiveness is necessary if you guys were involved in an unequal partnership in a past life. Personally I think you need to try everything in your power to make things work and if the results are negative then you'll know that it's time to move on.
