this leo guy went mia. what does he mean?

I met a leo guy on the plane traveling to Thailand this June. He tried to borrow a pen from me, and then we started talking. After landing, he offered to drive me to my hotel (he has a little hotel in Thailand), i said i've already booked a taxi. We exchanged our contact information. For the rest of my stay in Thailand, he took me to places almost every day. We had dinner together and talked a lot. He told me a lot about himself, his career, his family, his work. On the fourth day, he said that he liked me. And he hoped that we may continue seeing each other when we are back in Shanghai. (We are both from China.)

We do keep in touch with each other when we are back in Shanghai. But he's always too busy, so we have only actually seen each other for two times, in two months. He says he likes me, and that i'm important to him, and that he trusts me very much, blah blah blah...

Well, two weeks ago, he said he would go to Australia because his parents need him there to take care of their family business. He was unwilling to go. He wanted to settle down in Shanghai (He is not a Shanghainese.) He argued with his parents, but it turned out that he still had to go. But the real problem is his parents wanted him to stay in Australia for two years. He said he would go to Australia on Oct 7 and be back on Oct 22 to see how things are going there. But from Oct 3 till now, Oct. 19, he hadn't sent me a single word. I've sent several messages to him, no reply. I don't know what he's thinking about right now. Why is he not talking to me? He used to tell me everything that's going on around him. I desperately need some leo brains to explain this to me.
