Uker,
When you say heart warming, do you mean like shed a tear heart warming or hug a kitten heart warming?

A Clockwork Orange (1971)
I saw it when I was 15 and for the first time it struck me what a powerful tool filmmaking is. It opened my eyes to the true possibilities if cinema. Prior to this I have only 'been lost on' horror and action flicks. To me as a cinephile, there is the period before Clockwork, and after. I've seen tons of movies since that I consider my favourites, but I have chosen this one for this challange because of the symbolic value descbribed above, and it also represents a threshold moment in my life - it was at that age that I started thinking more deeply about things, tackling subjects such as moral philosophy, religion, good versus evil or the lack thereof, etc. which are some of the themes of this film.
It's that imagery, those outfits, the music, the rich style and the overall bizarre tone of the film, it all kind of sticks with you. It simply exists on its own terms. I guess you could say it's the ultimate punk-film. And I've read the novel upon which the movie was based as well, and it's one of those rare occurances where both the novel and the film are equally good!
