Why do Leo’s talk to people like they special ed

It’s not only me they talk that way too lol

My older Leo sister does this. It makes me feel like a little kid. She’ll give me words of inspiration/motivation and then say “got it, little sis?” And then before we hang up the phone she’ll say she loves me in such an endearing way that makes me feel like she don’t think I understand English 😕

Yup my dad and his sister do similar things. They talk a lot of shit about people who are above them money wise. They would stuff like football players make too much. Literally have so much hate. Yet watch the game. They also talk about all these wealthy people they did with. Well guess what fam? You’re the worker and they have the money. I think they’re just offended because wealthy people don’t treat them as a friend at all. My professor would actually tell us stories about how customers (she’s in the hotel field) would tell that they’re more important than her and that what she is saying will never be important because she doesn’t make enough money. YET there she is talking to the class like they’re dumb. Also stating facts like I’m the only one you should be listening too, I know what I’m talking about. Leo’s are okay with talking down to people, but if it happens to them they have a break down

This seems a like broad generalization. The examples given make sense if you're a family member or student. If a Leo is speaking in an affectionate tone, that's not an attempt to condescend. It's a sign of endearment. Leos know a lot of people feel weird about affection, so we have to work around that. If this may makes the other person uncomfortable, I feel that speaks more about them than the Leo.

If a professor is stating facts and sounds condescending, there's a reason for that as well. As a teacher, you can't assume that all of the students are on the same page intellectually. So while some students may feel the Leo professor is being condescending, other students may feel that they are being spoken to at their level. Basically the Leo can't appeal to everyone's sensibilities all at once.

Another thing to know is that Leos will act dumb on purpose. If a Leo is acting dumb around you, that means they are still sussing you out. It's our way to have you lower your guard while we observe you. That's not to say that all Leos are geniuses, but most of us are fairly intuitive. We typically see more than we divulge. Once we "figure" a person out, we will treat you a certain way based on your actions (if we didn't simply walk away).

I do this. i explain in a way that's really easy to understand to avoid repeating myself. It's not because people are slow, it's because i simplify tasks by breaking them down into detailed steps. I work with children and they ask lots of questions so I explain things as simply as possible so they grasp a task easily. I explain and show them how to do something then say, now you try. I probably do the same thing with adults too. I think it has more to do with my virgo in mercury than my leo sun.

Virgo in mercury learns the details instead of just looking at the bigger picture. I find the simplest, most efficient way to do something, even if it's a complex task. My brain will break it down to, you need to do this, this, then that to make this. It's how i learn so that's how i teach.

Oh that's a good point. Leo is a sign of teaching and a lot of Leos I know have been/are teacher too, myself included. If you have to teach, you learn really quick that not everyone learns at the same pace. So then you just start talking in a way that most people will accept.
