I am a Libra born on the 2nd decan and I wonder if as Libras we have the tendency to be insincere to people we don’t know well or to people we see only in the office.

I have no problems talking to people in the office and hearing about there problems at work and in their personal lives. But then I go home and procrastinate over the most trivial of contact, like answering a text about how my day has been.

When I am no longer working with them, I find that I am not motivated to keep in touch even if I have been quite close to them (this does not apply to everyone, some I am quite motivated to keep in touch with), and would listen to them all day while we were working. Is this something Libras do? Is it just me?

It's just you. Not a Libra thing.it's fairly common not to keep in touch with old colleagues.

Its detachment. Not insincerity. You can easily detach from people. Nothing wrong with having some mental downtime away from people when needed...Does this bother you?

Yeah its called being air

Embrace it

Yep! That’s the air element. All air signs have this knack for immediate detachment.

I’m the same way. Just because I entertained someone at work doesn’t mean I will entertain them on my personal time. You see at work, people entertain a lot of things they wouldn’t on their personal time for various reasons like:

A) you’re there for a set number of hours so you don’t mind killing time by listening to a co-worker;

B) the person at work isn’t someone you can avoid or ignore because people feel obligated to entertain their bosses for any number of reasons.

Sometimes, I feel like I have to be nice to others, and I don’t always understand why something that takes so little effort seems so difficult

That’s a good way to think about it, there really is a set amount of time when I am there. Good to know i’m not alone.

Why would you want to make ‘work friends’ your ‘home friends’?

I am very detached in style . I don’t keep in contact with old co workers even if I like them, it’s pointless.

I also am okay letting friendships go. If they’re no longer serving a purpose or of interest.

I sure don’t want to make them my ‘home friends’ but I also don’t want them to think I don’t care since they had been nice to me
