Saturn Libra
He has Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn conjunct his Pluto, which is conjunct my Pluto.
So we have Moon opposition, Venus and Sun opposite.. What's that usually like?
Oh his Mars is in my 8th house..
Are these usually good contacts?

Opposite Moons and potentially mirrored Venus depending on the degree. You might both feel very familiar with one another straight away. It's a good thing to have personal planets in each other's social houses like 8th, when you strike up that kind of ease in understanding. An 8th House energy forces interest out above the surface and into the open (despite what's written about this house) and that can help to have all the familiarity, while skipping the contempt that too often prematurely sinks easygoing Air-Air relationships.
Either way I would say just enjoy the first date.
