Well. this how I feel about the Libra board. What the heck are we doing? Thinking? Living? Believing? Why is it so dag on quiet here?

LOL...so funny that you mention School Daze.....I Just looked at it a few days ago and every time I watch it ...even after all of these years, I still find some stuff that I missed the last 100 times I saw it.

Yeah..I know...and so was Denzel. Denzel should have won the Oscar for his role in Malcom X, John Q and/or Glory, but what did he win the oscar for—? The worst freakin role he's ever played. A corrupt, heartless piece of scum of a cop in Training Day. Same thing with Halle Barry..she was excellent in The Dorothy Dandrige Story, but what did she win an Oscar for— Monster's Ball, where she had to perform IN MY OPINION, one of the most degrading love scenes EVER for an established actress, which she said was a new form of ART for her...She wanted to play the bad girl for a change..Okay, WHATEVER,....but you won one of Hollywood highest honors for the role of the "bad girl", but not for the positive portrayal of another great actress life, Dorothy Dandrige?...Hollywood...LOL...gotta love'em.

Personally, I find it disgusting that the only time talented black actors are awarded is when they play negative roles. It's being stereotyped in an indirect way. I'd refuse such an Oscar if I were them.

Gabourey Sedibe won for playing Precious- a negative role.
Forest whatever won for playing Idi Amin- a negative role.
Lupita for playing a slave girl- nothing positive about that.

Yet actors like Leonardo Dicaprio can win an Oscar just for spitting at the end of the ship. I'm not saying Leo is a bad actor, because he's great...it's just that Hollywood is biased when it comes to its stars.

EXACTLY! They only win when they are playing stereotypical or subservient roles like Octavia Spencer who won the Academy role for best supporting actress as a maid in the movie, The Help. I never saw the movie, but heard she should have won the best actress not supporting actress because her part in the movie actually made the film.I can't think of any movie where they played a a role of dignity, and won an award for it..at least none that I can think of.

^ I do get irritated, angered/enraged by:

- sound of chewing gum bubbles being blown inside of the person's mouth/throat repetitively
- "clicking" sound of a person's jaw when chewing (well this can't be helped really, can't blame the person)
- when someone is chewing with their mouth open producing this unbearable various sounds and not even trying to lower them down
- when someone is eating popcorn or chips or peanuts in let say cinema like they are chewing rocks and not food
- when someone in general doesn't have feeling for the volume when playing music (or at least decency to lower it down slightly when being asked), so instead we all enjoy it, it actually smash/pierce everyone's brain.
- when my nose is whistling when I try to fall a sleep
- sound of fake laugh

...some of those can provoke really hostile thoughts in me.

I think you are correct. My best male aqua friend said the same thing. He also said he comes back because HE CAN. My resolve is only strong as long as Scorpio guy stays away but as soon as he comes sniffing around, I let him.
I'm not going to tell him to go away anytime soon because I won't mean it. So, I have to figure something else out.
