If you're a girl - do you ever text a guy first when you're just starting to see each other? For instance, you guys agree that Thursday would be a good day to hang out, would you text the guy first to say what's up?

What about if you know the guy likes certain type of activities, for instance, a band. You find out they are playing in your town. Is it weird to be like 'hey! that band is coming to town!' Not asking him out in the text, but just sending an informative message.

If you're a guy - what do you think about being texted by the girl first in the above types of situations?

I guess it could apply to calling too? But I dunno anyone who still calls each other anymore? The only person I talk to on the phone now is my mom haha.

I get impatient and excited and I don't get nervous about texting a guy first, so sometimes I have a hard time restraining myself from sending them. I am not really sure how it could affect their opinion of me. I'm not like begging them to hang out or anything.. But I wonder if I should stop? Does it affect a guys opinion of me and how?

It would enhance whatever feeling I already had for her. If I wasn't into her and wanted her to go away and she was texting me random stuff it would make me cringe. If it's someone I liked as well, I like when a woman reaches out to me regularly about anything or nothing. Ask him to take you to see the band he told you about. His response will tell you everything.

And I am who still talks on the phone. I'd much rather someone call me than text. Damn kids and their new fangled contraptions! I just like to hear peoples voices... especially when I am sweet on someone. The voice is a great thing. You can say so many things through voice that a text just doesn't capture. A phone call is also more real, it is instant. You get the stutters and brain farts that disappear when a person writes.

Ok, so I have been running into this Libra around town. He is a friend of a friend, that I thought was cute. Anyway, a couple times, we've been drunk and I would end up at his place. No sex, just cuddling and kissing. He doesn't text much if ever, but when I see him again, he will be very friendly with me. I know he works everyday including weekends and most weeknights, he plays in local softball leagues. I know he's busy, but do you think he might just not be into me and maybe only friendly those times that he's drunk and I'm convenient? Otherwise, he would try to text me and ask me out on a date, right? Men confuse me!

Normally I would think he just doesn't like me. But, I have libra friends who will disappear from my life for weeks at time, but inr eality they are just super absorbed with work. Even if I have to shake them to get their attention again, they are consistently great friends. So I can't tell if he doesn't wanna talk to me, or is just super distracted by his other stuff.
