I told him while he had a gf I couldnt do anything physical with him. He showed to my job a week ago and we talked and in his typical way he tried to reverse it and say I was understanding enough since he was trying to move out from living with her. He CLAIMED he moved out two weeks ago. Idk and didnt really press the issue. The convo didnt really answer any question or made me feel like we resolved anything. Theres no closure for me and Im unsure of everything. I do know if he is still with her I dont want to be more than a friend to him. Its been a week and no contact. I havent reached out to him but at this point I am unsure if we are even cool. At the least I would want us to remain friends, but I dont know what to do—? I do have strong feelings for him and may even love him but I dont want to be some sex chick for him. Its either friends or nothing but hes so hot and cold idk what he wants...

Guess what? He wants you to be his sex chick. He's likely going to continue to lie to you about his relationship and moving out until you fuck him.

Just stay friends because this guy is NOT relationship material. If he's willing to ditch his relationship for you, he's willing to do it to you when you get into a relationship with him.

Valid point & too often overlooked.

Several men are guilty of the same and throw the bone to a woman despite she's admittedly involved with another dude, without hesitation. Do you really want to be an accessory in somebody's plight to cheat, even though the most likely result is drama coming your way? Anybody can commit unfaithful acts if so desired, but why volunteer to be their golden ticket? It's certainly not in your best interest.

TBH, the many instances that I've seen this happen, the one willing to be the golden ticket is incredibly self absorbed and just doesn't care as long as they get what THEY want, even if it's not in their best interest.

I can't help but wonder if it's very insecure people that settle into this role... :/

Provided the side-quest already knows what they're stepping into.
In certain instances s/he whose goal it is to set up the love-triangle, will do the most just to keep the other 2 parties in the dark...and they succeed. Under said circumstances, nobody but the initiator is to blame.

However if the third addition is aware of circumstances prior to consummation there's evidence to suggest they're down to settle for less, even in the name of living for the moment.

Well yeah. I feel for the ones who don't know until it's too late. But in this case, she's well aware that he's taken and has allowed her emotions to go there.

I'm sorry, but if someone is taken, they're off limits. End of story. You just don't let your mind or emotions go there. Regardless, when they knowingly get into this type of scenario, they're being incredibly selfish and an amazing example of how slimy humans are capable of being.
