Why do libras act like their better then everyone?

My boyfriend's mom is a libra. And she always acts like shes better then everyone. She will be like oh i got curly hair becuase im the best. Or she will just say things to make herself feel like shes better then everyone. Or she will be like oh im so smart, or im so pretty, or people are jealous of me. She will constantly do that. Its annoying. Why?

My best friend is like this but she is aquarius. I think I read somewhere that this based on the moon sign though and moon in sag is most vain.

Confidence comes from within, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. So it gets up your nose that she like to express it freely, learn to deal with it. She's in a good place & loves herself...Are you jealous— Does your bf love her more?

Agree with Zen... you should be celebrating with her and hope you get to be her age. When you do, celebrate as well because life is still going, the party don't stop. Just change your attitude about how she sees herself and maybe you will be able to accept her more. I had to do that with one of my good friends, I thought she was just to over the top. But I figure maybe she has reason to be, and I'm not being a friend judging her happiness.

I know a libra girl like this too...but I also know a virgo girl like this. I'm not sure it's a characteristic of their signs.
I just know that they are both only trying to make up for their own insecurities. One of them is convinced she is the hottest chick in the world and every dude she meets wants her...well I don't know if she's convinced or she's trying to convince everyone else? The fact of the matter is, her body looks like a trainwreck and she has the largest forhead I've ever seen. The thing is: I know she has to know this. So all the "oh I'm outrageously hot" bullshit is just a cover up.

My best friend is very confident, but it's sometimes exaggerating. She will assume that men look at her or "checking her out" when the men aren't (I've asked a few of them).

She brags about her work ethic and that her bosses think the world of her yet, she keeps applying for promotions in her company but she gets no offers.

She has talked about being a model when she was a teenager and she was sought after by scouts, but yet she has no pictures from her gigs.

There's a difference in being confident while being modest vs. being arrogant and overrated.

she is one of my best friends for other qualities she possesses. I have learned to overlook her over the top tendencies of thinking she's the center of others' attention.

i never call her out on these things because i accept her for who she is. i choose my friends cautiously...yes, be glad you aren't my "best friend" because if i don't see anything good about you, then i don't waste my time.
