Every child needs his/her father. To take your child's father away is like ripping the kid in half and trashing half of what the child inherited from the father. This child will have a higher possibility of being broken and will be held at a disadvantage. Even if you bring the child around at 3, the child will have missed out of some severely important limbic bonding with it's father. And the child may grow to hold resentment towards him, you and/or all men in his/her life, for the rest of his/her life. Why start your child's life on such a rocky platform when you don't really need to? You two do not have to be in a committed relationship to raise a child together. The baby has nothing to do with a commitment. You never know, he may end up being a good dad while being a good friend (maybe you two are meant to be parents and not committed). Maybe the co-parenting will be easy.

I love you comment. It explains a lot of things to me. I will not cut off the father for good. You are right I think we r meant to be parents not partners and best friends? Maybe that's why we had such time staying together yet can't keep away? I think the sole purpose of our union is to raise this child together.. let's hope so. Thank u for ur understanding.
