Now this may be an exercise in futility by why don't people ever take accountability for themselves? I mean is it more than it just being the EASY option?You mean in general or something specific?

Well accountability in general, because i often see one get defensive when a mistake is made or quick to blame someone or something instead of understanding that, it can be their fault and if it is, that's ok.
