Best birthday gift(s) you've ever got?
For me it was truly being left alone. I find anything involving a birthday cringy. It's like I get it, I lived to see another potential year. I hate my birthday tbh. It's just a reminder of all the bs I've dealt with, and the fact I'm eventually going to die. On top of that I'm reminded I have to continue living in this hell scape of a reality.
So the best bday give I've ever got was people leaving me the fuck alone, so I can isolate an wallow in my own self doubt, and then fester in an existential crisis.

Probably just hanging out with my sister this past b day was pretty cool, as I'd spent the prior 3 alone and working so it was nice to be off work and chilling.

A surprise party. My best friend pulled it off. She was like, hey let's do something for your birthday but can you pick me up? So, me, my brother and sister-in-law drive to her neighborhood. It was cramped, close to the college so we had to park a few blocks away, freezing cold out (maybe 5 degrees or 10F). I started complaining as we kept on walking, saying, "can't we just pick up her from her place?! Its freezing out here"
In classic Pisces fashion, my bro stalls a little bit, then says,. ...hmm. let's get to her apartment first. So I relent.
Gosh, when I opened the door, people yelled surprise and I was in utter shock. Then after eating, we played cards against humanity. It was really thoughtful.

Honestly, any gift is great. My brother for one year got one half of a delicious cake and I'm not sure how he asked or what he did, but he combined with half of a second flavor of cake. And pizza. Then because it was UberEATS or whatever, the guy left the pizza with us but it turned out that the second box had nothing in it, so we just ordered more, then the next day bro got his money back. Top two bdays so far.
Oh right.. last year I went with someone to a Brazilian steakhouse and they paid for me, but instead of getting all these cuts of meat that they advertised, they only had 3 available. Then some chick came by and said, would you like a shot. So I said sure. Then later she swung by again and asked if I'd like another. I'm like, is it free? All smiling, she goes "11 dollars". I'm like wtf, no thanks 😂 Muahaha. My cheap ass ain't paying no 22 dollars for 2 shots. It was a good memory.
I should do something for these people this year...

I don't get a lot of birthday gifts from people, and I'm not used to having birthday parties cause my birthday is in the summer so I was always on vacation during my birthday growing up so as an adult it was never something that really changed(I still try to leave town during my bday) I think I've thrown myself maybe one birthday party as an adult and that was over 10 years ago. I did convince my family to go on a cruise for my 39th birthday so I will say that was the best present I've had was my family going on a birthday cruise with me.

Actually it was a very nice set of leather gloves that kept my hands warm in the winter 2 years ago. This nice young lady knew that I have a problem with cold hands in the winter time and stepped up in a big way.
Then, somebody gave me a plush toy of my recently deceased Golden retriever and it's a reminder of how much I love that dog before I love myself! Not a day goes by that I don't think about her. 😊
As for myself, I always give wonderful gifts. Money is of no object, I can always make more later.
