"hedonistic hippy crap"

does it look like thatβ€”

i've never been yet, but am going this year. i've only heard about others' experiences for years. and the whole orgy, drug and hippie thing is kinda the last thing I envision.

I've heard dozens of people who've been year after year try to explain burning man to me

and i STILL don't know what it is.

it sounds like a bunch of adults in the desert island, very vulnerable to the elements, playing dress up and reverting back to the wide-eyed emotions of children whilst experience art in many forms, learning how to give, receive and express gratitude

and maybe try a few drugs

...do a little dance

...make a little love

Don I think you should! From what I gather... it's a very emotional experience. I dont mean sappy or emo, but that you get pushed into experiences you're not used to. Not forced, but you're tested. physically, it being the desert, and emotionally.

I fully plan on going on a topless bike ride through the playa ^_^ shirtless CreepyPants LOL

Are you really thinking of swapping your Nevada trips? πŸ˜›

I've wanted to go to Burning Man so badly for years. I was fully prepared to get tickets this year and finally do it but they changed over to a lottery system where, basically, the highest bidders have the best chances at getting spots. Not that I can't afford it, but that totally ruins the whole concept of the event for me. And I'm a cheapskate so if I want to wander off into the wild while tripping balls I'll do it here for free.

I heard it's been run over by the hipsters anyway.
