I will start with mine.

I have a ton of stories of my ex-MIL. But the one that stands out the most, was when my son was born. He was breech, so I had to have a C-section. He had some complications when he was born, and had to be immediately life flighted out to a bigger hospital. With me having a C-section, I was forced to stay back. So I gave my then husband instructions and ex-MIL, that until I was able to see him, I didn't want anyone to hold our son but my husband, while I recouped. Four days later, I was released from the hospital, and immediately had my mom drive the 2 hours to get to him. I arrived in the NICU with my mom, who had also not seen him either while she stayed with me. I get up to his area, and low a behold, sitting on his incubator, right smack in the middle, is a Polaroid of my ex-MIL holding my son, with I LOVE YOU in big red marker sitting there. I was livid, and trying to calm down. But then, not 45 seconds after my mom and I got into the NICU that had a 2 person visitor limit policy in place, did she come charging it. The nurses proceeded to try and justify the picture, and then turned to my mom and harassing her to leave. so that my ex-MIL could see me hold my son for the first time.

I got about a baker's dozen more stories of her too.

She told me one time while gardening that she "Needed a good fucking." lol

You’ve heard a lot of mine already...

She’s self absorbed, makes everything about her, is greedy, extremely co-dependent, and needs A LOT of attention. She’s too much work for me personally, but thankfully she lives in another state

But most recently, right before I had the baby, V called her to ask the dates she was planning to come see the baby - her son’s first child, the first and likely only grandchild on both sides of the family - and she sobbed to him that she “couldn’t afford” to come so he bought her a ticket and booked her a hotel room and rental car. Then while she’s here, instead of being helpful, she starts drama on numerous occasions telling V she doesn’t “feel welcome” by me...

Meanwhile, I had just given birth 3 days before, had stitches, I was in pain, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, etc.- like sorry I didn’t roll out the red carpet for you you pile of shit. 😒

The worst was the day I was pumping in the other room and yelled for V to bring me the baby so I could try to feed her and his mom stormed out of the house and sat on our front lawn pouting (I have photographic proof) because “Bri doesn’t want her here”

Also while she was here she treated herself to a manicure and pedicure, shopped everyday, had all her meals paid for, and manipulated V into buying her a new iPad.....ya know because she was the one who just had a baby....why shouldn’t we be pampering her and showering her with gifts

Oh and found out after the fact she told his sister she was upset V hadn’t offered to get her a plane ticket (prior to her sobbing on the phone/manipulating him to get it)

I find it completely inappropriate that she would expect that. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s sweet that he has the means and is willing to do things for his mom...but the fact that she feels so entitled makes me feel extremely resentful when he does

I pretty much can’t stand her ass but I try to keep my opinion to myself

Idk how my MIL has lived as long as she has,(50+ years) because she .... idk where to even start!

A story told by her to me:

“I was getting my ears cleaned because they were clogged and had to be cleared by the Dr.

They squirted water in my ear and it came out the other ear! Went right through my head!”

Are.You.Serious? This was no joke either. She makes up shit in her head all for reactions. She’s a Virgo sun. I can’t take her in large doses

When my sister in law got married, my MIL caused a ton of drama too - for her own daughter.

Treated me like the help the whole time we were there because she needed to “feel special” and her daughter (the bride) didn’t make her feel special 😅no shit

She insisted on cooking for the rehearsal dinner and then gave her daughter the receipts for the groceries and wanted to be paid back ...lol...so fuckin tacky

Hmm I'm pretty lucky to get along well with my MIL. But there was one time where we stayed at the in-laws place, and he tried to cook a meal for them. He fucked up a pan, and his mum screamed at him for the entire evening about it, right in front of me.
