Do people compliment you?

I don't know if this has been discussed before and if so I apologize, sorry "eyeroll". Anyway we can use a new episode and with that said let's go on with the show. Has anyone ever get complimented? I'm sure we all have and if so what do you usually get complimented on? Feel free to share your stories or post the complimented picture.

I rarely get complimented to my face in person. It’s always through someone else (usually my grandma) who claims ppl tell her that I’m pretty, but I don’t believe her all the time for two reasons, for one she’s my grandma so she probably wants me to feel better and boost my confidence, and two, she’s a Gemini and either exaggerates things ppl say or lies altogether (even if for a good purpose) lol love her though (:

Times I’ve gotten compliments to myself directly it’s usually on my eyes or hair. Especially my hair for some reason.

Oh I also have gotten lots of compliments on my style recently too

That's cool. I think people exaggerate when they say you're pretty or attractive I don't give in to what they say about that though nobody never tell me to my face I'm attractive anyway. I just wanted to get compliments on all my cowboy hats I been wearing as of late these days but instead gets complimented on all my tattoos, still. It don't matter how much and how hard I try changing my image and appearance people ignores it.

Someone once said my french accent was really good. I'll take it. I think it's rare for people to compliment others in general unless you're exceptionally good looking because then it's easier to compliment that since it's surface 🤷🏻‍♀️

My friends and I are always telling each other how amazing and beautiful we are, with specifics because we're genuine. Any jealousy or underhandedness and I would be running for the hills. I hate that sh*t. ... No, not so much a hater really, I just know about all of the toxicity and negativity it can lead to so it's not worth being around women who are competitive.

Strangers always compliment me on my hair.

But also I believe compliments like this are almost like small talk. It’s not that serious. Just a social nicety.

People from my new job have asked for my age and got a few that were surprised and kept saying I look way younger. One also complimented my lip shape

Not anymore because I like to put it in every hole I see.

Yeah, not too frequently.

Lately my older female relatives have complimented how good looking I am. I just assume they are losing their eyesight as they age.

My spiffy sporty glasses got some compliments today and actually everyday before and since I made this thread I was just keeping quiet on it. Everybody say I look good in it I'm not good at receiving compliments cus I don't know if people being genuine or faking and shy as I am I just say yeah thanks with a smirk 😏. I do love my classic round specks.

Probably. I don't pay much attention to compliments. I don't have a confidence problem, so it doesn't affect me one way or the other. I have to say though, the most memorable compliments are the bold ones that carry layers of meaning from complete strangers.

You should be suspicious of anyone who overdoes it.

In my experience at least, time often reveals that they usually think and feel the opposite way.

Personally, it's rare for me to compliment anyone.

But the rare times I do say something positive, I probably mean it more than most people.

Not suspicious but annoyed. Annoyed I keep getting compliments of my glasses. First few times was good enough but everyday, it's getting annoying now. The next person compliment my glasses I'm ignoring them as if I didn't hear them.

😆 I'm laughing at what's said on the very top of this thread that I didn't write. Is this some new thing dxp starting?

They usually compliment me on being organized clean and tidy.

Or on helping people. People often at first judge me on how I look and go oh barbie doll. But I actually have a really kind heart.
