I guess that's the difference between me and some others. I thought the other Roll Call threads were cute and decided to put my own spin on it after reading a thread on the relationships board in reference to Black women and their hair, and was delighted and quite surprised to see just how many AA women chimed in, which piqued my interest to see just how many of us there were.
Also, on a deeper note, I like to connect with my people. I won't apologize for that. I'm always excited when there are more of "me" around.

White people feeling left out of this should stfu, in my opinion. This has nothing to do with segregation.Black people are a minority in English-speaking countries and the experience of minorities is uniquely different than majorities. Minorities, no matter the race, can relate to eachother in ways that the majority will never be able to completely understand. What is that matter with identifying with eachother based on common roots and backgrounds?
So yes, minorities can make a thread like this and white people can't without being called racist. That's just the way it is and it should be, really. And we've had hundreds of years of advantages as a result of purely being born the white majority... so let's just let it go, folks. Coming from white peeps, it's just being petty.
