Eating in Front Of People

I know this is kind of silly, but I am wonder if any of you have ever had a hard time eating in front of people. It's usually only men, you know on dates and all of that. But other times it has been groups of people.Maybe a complex or something. I know it is kind of weird but anyone know what I mean?
DUDE. When you're by yourself and SOOOO hungry and you have your favourite thing in the world to stuff your face with?
THE best.
If the other person is eating, two, I'm cool. Otherwise, hate being watched munching down.
I have no problems eating and pigging out in front of close family and friends.
But it is a bit uncomfortable. Especially when they start staring at me. I'm self-conscious like that. But I'm getting better with it.
I just tell myself that I'm being very vain to think they are looking directly at me. They're probably looking at the food. 😄
I'm not sure about dates though. What are you going to look at on a date? The Food? The person you're out with? Or both?
I mean...I like staring at food too.

While I've seen many women get peckish or even shy eating in front of a man ( and for many reasons )...just don't. As a matter of fact..it's quite enjoyable eating in front of a man. Again, for many reasons.
We aren't gazelles cropping grasses, there is no lion in the tall rushes ..or is there? It's a similar reaction. Honestly though, lean back and enjoy what you're eating. Whether you feel dainty or want to hunker over something and tear into it like an animal. If some voyeur wants to look on, let them. You're far too busy enjoying your meal. Have a chuckle that they're appreciating some fork skill.
That food looks delicious Jase, though my lactose issues are laughing at me.

hellll no. i fuckin pig out. when i eat, sometimes people watch me cuz i eat like a fuckin beast...i just devour everything fast as hell but i dont give a fuck. im always the first in line at the buffets and im a notorious fatass around my family, but i stay skinny so i dont see anything wrong with it. i dont think you should worry about it too much cuz ya there are people who pay attention to other people eating(i really dunno why) but they can all suck dick if they wana judge as far as im concerned. i just dont understand why they give a shit??

LOL well thanks for the advice. I don't know why. Maybe it's cause my grandfather always use to go on about how women eat too much these days.

Some of the best food is the messiest. And it makes for nice dinner laughs and other. 'You have sauce on your chin, lemme..' or *flicking crab shell off cheek* 🙂 I never understood why it's equated with as if one is caught on the toilet. Ha! Yes, it's like that. If someone is caught eating that they have that deer in the headlights look. In that Bermuda Triangle of delicious and someone spied them.
Her cooking looks delicious. 🙂 I just cock an eyebrow and continue on with my dinner. Though I've done things as well to make someone else intentionally uncomfortable for staring at me.

Hmmm, unsure, but I can give you my generations ( or personal family ) perspective. My grandparents were wed at the height of the Depression. A table loaded with good things to eat scarce come by, a hazy and pleasant memory. ( My Grandfather told us of collecting potato peelings after school so he and his siblings/parents could eat ).
Fast forward a bit to the 40s, 50s and so on. It was a point of pride to not just make a meal for children and grandchildren for my Grandmother, but an art. A warm and very caring thing where we all gathered round the table with shining clean faces and eyes sparkling seeing all the wonder she put out. ( Pics on request, LOL ) Family time. I think every one has what they consider to be 'comfort food'. Or a dish or several that spiral you back to a happy fuzzy place.
That is what it is for me. I'm not talking about the expanding waists of Americans in general or what I call the 'Great Golden Teats of America'..i.e. McDonalds. We love to eat, what culture does not? And not just eat, but wax nostalgic over it.

Follow this logic. Eating is a base and natural thing. We all must do it for survival. But deep down it's the appetite you see. If you've a good one. For life, for food, it travels to other areas as well. A woman not shy or afraid to attack something delicious with no holds barred is lusty. All the way round. Someone who persnickity picks at her food listlessly or it seems to hold no enjoyment for her makes me go 'ew' and I'm a woman. 🙂
