Free speech debate

I'm not even American but I love Ben Shapiro debates as much as anyone else (although I can't stand the headlines Shapiro destroys SJWs) , while I do appreciate his rigid capricornian ways I don't always agree with him and for a while I've been tossing and turning over whether I align myself with free speech or censorship.

At first it's a no brainer but then you realise it protects the westboro baptist church and all the other churches that brainwash folks, also protects Nazis, they are just small minorities of hateful people living out their existence knowing what they know siding with who they know within their own communities and don't pose any real threat...

Free speech is great but some people use it like a weapon or a way to manipulate the country as the media does? It's interesting that it's written in the constitution waaaay back in the day because obviously the leaders knew the media would be needed for propaganda.

Now you have people talking hate speech because it's relevant Of course people can say what they want about other people but in the end you better watch out for the repercussions, if you want to be a homophobe or a racist etc to whoever you wanna target then be prepared to take it......the thing is all people experience some form of hate speech one way or another in their lives it's a fact of life.

A lot of the left are pushing for it to be made illegal to mis gender people and I think that is fucking stupid personally, you have an opportunity and a platform to be taken seriously in politics and this is what you push for? Your own narccistic gain...

I don't know ?‍♀️ I usually stay out of it because the more people get into debates the more relevant it is

I think free should stay in the end....just make the churches pay tax
