Last year I was working out regularly 3/4/5 times a week. Cardio plus lifting. Always was making quality work out for about 40-90 minutes depends on how much I needed time between sets. Then I stopped for a year because there was a lot going on in my life.

Today I started working out again. So we will see how is my muscles memory haha

I workout 2x/week if I'm busy or not in the mood. If I am, 3/4x/week.
How about you?
I'm currently doing 3x a week. About to start swimming again after a few years out of it. Will aim to do 3 - 4 swim sessions weekly and will eventually increase resistance training to 4x a week.

Ooh how long do you go for a swim for? Swimmers have one of the best bodies 👌🏾

It will be 60mins per session. Once I've acclimated myself to it again I'll add in a 2 hour session.

Definitely. Especially because back then I was picking it up after pregnancy. Now I'm in bettershape than I was then so I pick up from better position.

How soon after pregnancy did you begin resistance training? I heard it can be quite dangerous to do so soon after giving birth.

Muscle memory is very real, times I've fell off the wagon and neglected my body. As soon as I start training again, within two months I'm seeing big changes.

Twice a week, I’ll do some strength training. That’s it cause in between it’s like I gave birth back in February and have been back at work since a month after I gave birth, never really fully healed, been in survival mode ever since and have to be working night shift doing patient care full time so I’m exhausted

I can't imagine how tiring that must be. How soon did you start resistance training again after giving birth?

Not even a month ago… so, February, gave birth; March, back to work full time nights in patient care; got sick in June—both me and my baby unfortunately; and then mid-July, started with 20 lb kettlebells doing full body workouts but nothing too much cause I still get bad pelvic pains every now and then.

In fact, just yesterday, I messed up my right knee idk how. Today I’m much better.

It’s weird. After you have a kid, as a woman, your body just changes in ways you feel way older than you should

Kettlebell exercises place a lot of strain on your deeper core muscles, is it a bit too soon to be doing that? Asking because I'm curious

Do you incorporate bodyweight exercises into your training routine?

A year and a half because I was also breastfeeding and didn't want to count calories to that. I started with phisioterapist consultation, she gave me proper exercises. After that I got green light to better and more intense work out.

Maybe it’s cause I used to workout before that I was able to get back into it, so far I don’t think I’ve had any issues. My doctor said I could go back to regular things after a couple months, but my girlfriend actually says I should take it easy cause ever since I gave birth like I came back to work so soon and didn’t allow myself to properly heal so….eh, I just do what I can cause I have to.

I don’t do bodyweight right now, and I used kettlebell cause I’m trying to get my muscles back again. I feel like bodyweight won’t let me do that.

But since I messed up my knee a little I might consider it

Really? Idk I mean I used to work out A LOT. Like an hour of running and then an hour of heavy intense weightlifting after. But then I slowed down all that, used to walk 3 hours every other day and just do a lot of intense fasting (24 hour fasts).

Now I can’t manage to do any of that. Idk if it’s cause of just life stresses but I feel like I been in survival mode since January this year, and idk I just feel so fatigued. But push myself cause I have to.

And mind you this is only my first kid 🤦🏽‍♀️

Pretty much every day due to my job. Though I'm still overweight because I've been eating trash and drinking rum. If I cut the rum and bad food I would quickly lose the weight. Back in 2020 I was laying like 2 bathrooms in tile then going home and biking 5 to 10 miles. Now I'm a bit slower from the extra mass, and eat garbage and on my way home then have some drinks. I do want to get back on track though. I've gained a ton of muscle from doing so many big tile jobs with the extra weight, I just need to burn off the fat. Right now I look like those type of men with decent muscle mass, but also have a giant rum gut lmao

My workout is walking a ton and yoga. It could be better, but tbh I hate working out. But I love looking good haha 😆

I hate exercising but Im in love with my arms shoulders and pecks in the mirror. I love to make both my left and right side of my chest move up and down Everytime I flex. You women would call that boobs on y'all's chest. I don't know what's it call on us men. Moobs? I also love looking good too and don't care to workout anymore, not that I need to for looking good cus I already achieve that. It's because I done got lazy to exercise and it hurts, makes me sweat a lot and it makes me get all out of breath and shit. I love looking good but love looking good for myself cus I have no fire. Damn looking good for people.

So what's your reasoning for hating to work out and looking good?

I just hate to sweat, tbh. Any kind of physical labor repulses me. Even vacuuming and cleaning. At the same time, I am obsessed with clean spaces. Everything must look good!

I think my Leo moon thinks I’m too royal for that measly human effort which includes physical labor haha 💅

I know wacha mean. I don't like physical work of any kind especially outdoor physical work. Having no fire means I have no passion nor energy for anything physical wise for a man it's only with the help of the little bit of earth I got get me motivated to push myself to do physical stuff or anything I don't really wanna do. I never like physical but still used to love pumping iron only back then because I needed to. I was a gym freak. People used to always prefer me as a gym freak. I didn't know if that was suppose to be an insult or just a compliment or what. But the name somehow stuck. I never took a day off to let my poor body recuperate. Since I lack fire and earth the best career for me would be in the music industry (that's where I really belong) and computer technology. Not anything physical.

Your diet must be so good then.

Although lots of walking is a really effective way to keep yourself in shape.

Why do you hate working out?

I already answered that in a previous post. See reply to jumping jupiter.

When it comes to diet, I would say it’s decent.

I try to cook myself and use only whole ingredients. The food is also somewhat expensive here, so I really don’t eat much quantity wise.

I also have good genes and metabolism. But I know working out has other benefits than just for the looks.

40 hours a week and then some good cardio on the weekends and an actual work out a couple times a week to keep the right muscles working.

Physically demanding role to do 40 hours a week?

Yeah farm work. It isn't ideal though because its quite anarobic and not near a gym, I used to go 2 or 3 times a week and I liked that. I gotta find a way to get back to that.

I guarantee I could beat every single one of you in a boxing match. Especially the OP. Bro gives off bitch made vibes. I love when people think basic workout is even close to daily labor muscle. My stamina and brute force would cave your little head in lmao! I've got a mean unforgivable left hook, and you small little men under 6'3 couldn't even make me budge 😆

Work out? Actually try real work. You sound like a weak little bitch 💀

If I ever fight someone it means my life is in danger, so I would go 0 to 100 Taurus mars enraged and use my weight and size to grab their throat and squeeze with all my strength till they stop breathing. Then justify it as self defense because they fucked up by challenging me first.

That's really good, what kind of training do you do?

Muay Thai. Been doing it for a long time. I teach/coach as well.

And I genuinely love doing a farmers carry. I assume as a farmer you would have some cool home gym set up making use of tractor tyres

I just have a kettle bell at home and a pull up bar. Actually it's enough if I just put the effort in.

Isn’t “real work” becoming a thing of the past for most men? How many now are learning a physical trade and working at it?

Sign of the times, sadly …

If I ever fight someone it means my life is in danger, so I would go 0 to 100 Taurus mars enraged and use my weight and size to grab their throat and squeeze with all my strength till they stop breathing. Then justify it as self defense because they fucked up by challenging me first.

The only thing you're fighting is the urge to get another pudding out of the fridge
