James Foley's beheading: justified or nah?

we all can agree that it's always two sides of a story..in this case, we have the beheading of james foley, an american who was captured by ISIS a couple years ago and recently beheaded..in a email letter sent by ISIS to james family, they explain their reasoning behind it:

HOW LONG WILL THE SHEEP FOLLOW THE BLIND SHEPPARD?

A message to the American government and their sheep like citizens:

We have left you alone since your disgraceful defeat in Iraq. We did not interfere in your country or attack your citizens while they were safe in their homes despite our capability to do so!

As for the scum of your society who are held prisoner by us, THEY DARED TO ENTER THE LION??S DEN AND WHERE EATEN!

You were given many chances to negotiate the release of your people via cash transactions as other governments have accepted,We have also offered prisoner exchanges to free the Muslims currently in your detention like our sister Dr Afia Sidiqqi, however you proved very quickly to us that this is NOT what you are interested in.

You have no motivation to deal with the Muslims except with the language of force, a language you were given in —Arabic translation?? when you attempted to occupy the land of Iraq!Now you return to bomb the Muslims of Iraq once again, this time resorting to Arial attacks and —proxy armies??, all the while cowardly shying away from a face-to-face confrontation!

Today our swords are unsheathed towards you, GOVERNMENT AND CITIZENS ALIKE! AND WE WILL NOT STOP UNTILL WE QUENCH OUR THIRST FOR YOUR BLOOD.

You do not spare our weak, elderly, women or children so we will NOT spare yours!

You and your citizens will pay the price of your bombings!

The first of which being the blood of the American citizen, James Foley!

He will be executed as a DIRECT result of your transgressions towards us!

after reading that, i understand wholeheartedly why they did what they did and i honestly believe they're 100% right in doing it..

I watched that video, and it was cut off before much of a cut happened. So he may have yelled and struggled - who knows. The desire to live is strong, even when you know you will die

I strongly believe this was not justified. It saddens me, it sickens me, it angers me.

I believe it's wrong to kill another human being. Innocent or not, it is not up to us. Period.

Just put yourself in his shoes? What went through his mind those last few moments? What about his family left in mourning forever?
Does causing more harm and damage somehow remedy harm previously done?

Executing someone for the express purpose of stopping the slaughter of innocents is one thing.

This journalsit should have been declared a hero by american nation in such circumstances yet we just talk about "beheaded journalist".

I really can't blame the Arabic people. They are fed up and for good reason. Their people took the fall, the face of the enemy, for our government to further it's agenda.

The generation of young soldiers over there are all brainwashed on fucking call of duty and shit and this is probably just a real life video game for them. There is no regulation, you think their people are being treated fairly? No.

Then a journalist gets too close to the action, on his own accord, and he's supposed to be treated fairly? Why?

We should just leave them alone. Usa is becoming the terrorist. We need to worry about our own, but the last thing on these powerful, rich elite puppet masters minds is worrying about their own. There is a bigger agenda.

Obama acting funny, that's just another confirmation. Police state practice drills going on in Ferguson, another confirmation. Shit is going on behind the scenes, something big is going to happen.

People do need to wake the fuck up and stop believing our government. Maybe this will lead us into a much more violent war. Where they do come here, like they threaten. More violent on this end, not to say it's not already violent. When our cities start getting bombed, America's probably going to break out the big guns. And then other countries might just follow suit. When the world is destroyed from nuclear, or worse, warfare... then the elite will start all over. Rebuild the world in their image.

I believe that's the master plan. It's been in motion for a long time now.

That we can even debate whether or not it is justifiable for a human being to die in such a violent manner is a statement on how barbaric our society and mentality really is.

While I don't condone the continued presence of the American military forces in the Middle East, these beheading spectacles are nothing but a disgusting travesty.

OMG, this is so sad.

Being a journalist on foreign soil comes with great risk. Especially on soil of those who claim Americans are the enemy.

He chose that risk and died as a result.

No different than journalists killed in the Vietnam war.

Note to American journalists who don't want a risk...STAY THE FUCK HOME

No doubt, the desire to live is strong. However, for some people, following extended captivity, under cruel conditions, the desire to live is broken down and the desire to die becomes more dominant.

People do nasty things to each other. They have for a long, long time.

so the guy who beheaded the journalist is also a rapper its seems..
