Well I tend to associate the author with the character, and imo, Holden Caulfield (the protagonist) seems very Capricorn-ish.

His nine stories book was an interesting read.

Sad to hear, but he did die of old age and according to a few news sites it was in his bed peacefully. This is an ideal way to go. Anyway, Catcher in the Rye is great. I haven't read anything else he's written, but I'd probably give a few of his other stuff a go.
