Life after the Coronavirus Pandemic

There's been a lot of discussion about how the Coronavirus pandemic will forever change the way we live.

Do you think most brick and mortar businesses will fail? What businesses do you think will flourish after covid 19? What about telemedicine?

I was also thinking about how it will impact social change/interaction.

What changes do you think will occur post-coronavirus?

I was already filthy rich, drippin', before the 'rona struck. Not impacted by the virus, personally. I've been staying in hotels for the better part of the quarantine and remaining disease-free.

Drinking plenty of ice water, green juice, tea and taking kratom has helped me stay healthy and sane. Bless.

Technology seems to be shifting as a result of the pandemic.

One of the changes I keep hearing about is a much broader use of "touchless technology" and at a much quicker rate.

Things like touchless menus at restaurants, touchless elevators, new screening technologies at airports, etc.

I doubt this will forever change the way we live. The damn pandemic is in no way shape or form anywhere near as serious as the Spanish Flu, but the government is treating it like the world is ending.

What about economically?

I don't know what's gonna change post coronavirus. What I do know is that from now on I'm gonna start making this a habit and continue to keep my hands washed and sanitized, keep wearing a mask at all times in public, keep wearing gloves etc. I'm not too concern about keeping my distant from people. I'm a natural introvert anyway and far more happier staying to myself.

No doubt the economy is going to take a huge hit but we always bounce back.

I think a lot of businesses are re-evaluating the way they operate. Some are realizing they can get by with fewer employees, and those employees are able to work from home with a relative amount of efficiency which could eliminate the need for an office and save them all the costs associated with having office space.

Same with retail businesses ....with half capacity in stores they don’t need all the space they once had.

I think there will be a lot of commercial space sitting vacant

Girl no. I ask to see the room before I rent to check whether or not it's acceptable. Not only could it be dirty but you wanna make sure the air conditioning works.

Yes, those were my thoughts too. I think it's going to at least speed up the automation industry.

am hoping for more business to be based on the wfh model also minimum wage up their pay since they’re practically essential in trying times

would love less human contact and less work culture chanting the motto of company as everyone drinks the koolaid at events with branded “swag”

nope, online learning sucks

Not online learning necessarily but I think most of the schools are going to be gutted financially come fall. If students even show up.

They won’t have the same amount of cash flow that most were barely scraping by on with the lack of government funding.

WA is probably in a better place since y’all actually get money into your schools.
