Posted by DeleterNerdLMAOPosted by Mr_PinchySoutheast Asian airlines pilots are really good at crashing planes compared to the rest of the world.
A glorified accountant thinks his career is better than that of a pilot. Dude, just LOL!
#edit: i'm sorry bunny but i find it hilarious you'd be taking some credit over your brother when he really just has to learn some slightly more advanced geometry. It's not that different from maritime math and we were taught that in high school......

Posted by Mr_PinchyI dunno why he's having a hard time. I know that if he ends up a commercial pilot, he'll definitely have a great future ahead of him. He'll certainly earn more bucks than I do now. But for me, money is not all that important. I care for my health and appearance more than anything else so I avoid all types of stress, just have fun and work out.

I'm about to leave DXP by the way so I'm sharing my life story.

I'm sad for him. Meanwhile, both my parents are trying to give him a successful career as a businessman. He's already 29.
I can see him looking at me with envy. I am a cpa lawyer but I was in no way good in accounting or in law. I made it through by sheer hard work, persistence, and flexibility (since I was not naturally gifted in memorizing stuff).
I can sense that he keeps on looking at me with envy coz I was and still am good in Math - I won competitions with the valedictorian of the class as the 1st and me as the 2nd.
To make matters worse, we were always compared by people. We're born one year apart. So there was competition. And it wasn't healthy. I was better in academics - getting really good grades and winning competitions left and right. My brother on the other hand was athletic... but damn he's soooo lazy, he didn't join competitions whatsoever and never won anything. I guess he was happy he beats me in any kind of sports. But dude, you never brought home medals or anything. I did.
The Gattaca movie is very much applicable to us. I was the Ethan Hawk between the two of us... the "more insecure" one... BUT I NEVER CHEATED. I made it through and beat all the odds by hard work. I became a much better person because I believe I can make it. There was always some hope in there. I gave myself goals... and found enjoyment in almost all things that I do. I even work out now and find myself already succeeding. I tell myself whenever I encounter a difficult challenge, "IF I CAN DO THIS DAMNED THING, I CAN DO EVERYTHING." And I did.
