I hope all you mothers had a terrific day yesterday. My daughter, sisters ( ahhh, my pride of Lions ) and their children surprised me at work with peach roses and a lot of kisses, hugs, and "I love you's".
My daughter made me a card, and it says this inside:

Happy Mothers Day! I love you, you're the best mom anyone could ask for, you came up from nothing and struggled as a single mother and I give you so much respect and admiration for that. You are the strongest woman I know. You are smart, funny, beautiful and caring - the best mommy ever. ( P.S. I made this card 😛 )
You raised three beautiful children and are still doing it on your own coming out on top. I love you Mom.

Yes, I cried.

How was your Momma Day?

Hello VB! Lovely thread my dear! I had a wonderful Mother's day as well. I took my mom out shopping on Saturday and we bought eachother clothes...lol. She was a single mother all of my life and I so respect and love her for that! Yesterday we went to lunch with my son to Olive Garden and it was wonderful as we shared special memories and what we appreciated about one another. My son was very sweet and said he couldn't imagine having another mother and that he too appreciated how strong I was raising them on my own. My daughter is at university so she was not with us. 😢
She sent me a video of herself telling me how much she loved and missed me and it made me cry!
I felt truly loved and supported and it sounds like you felt the same! Go mothers!!!!
😄

I'm not a mother, but my poor mother had a hell of a mother's day yesterday.
We were all gathered at our annual cookout event. I went up to her to talk and I could tell something was wrong. When I ask, she said her husband (my step dad) just left. He ended up getting in a bad fight with my aunt. He was pissed about something and mouthed "fuck you" to my mom. My aunt got in his face and he ended up leaving.

Of all days! My poor mom was so upset. So, I'm glad to hear the rest of you had a really special and major argument free day 🙂

Ah, that's nice VB 🙂 You should be stoked.

I dropped by moms with a dozen red roses, did the lunch thing, and didn't really think much of it. Keep in mind, I'm the "bad" son out of my brother and I lol so I think it caught her off guard. But she ended up fiddling with the roses all day so I think that's a good sign.

I was plenty stoked VH. I was deeply moved. I didn't even notice all my co-workers until I turned around and the whole gang was there with smiles and 'AWWWW' looks on their faces. You? Bad? I scoff at the notion. ( Yes, I know. There's always one in every family, what a lucky man you are to have been chosen. ) She was touched by them definitely. Tactile. Tangible reminder to keep touching them. Ya done gooood man. 🙂
