My new ink

Got these yesterday.

I've had the hawk for 10 years, she added the quote.

Mons pubis.

All of these will be touched up in a couple weeks when they've healed, and the two with outlines will be colored with blacklight reactant ink. Red/Blue (and purple) for my zodiac sign, to go with the elements. And purple/green/yellow for the triquetra and pentacle and triple moon/horned god.

Sky, if you remember, can you put up new pictures once you get the coloring in?

Sky... the hawk is well done, stop right where you're at with those, and find a better artist. One that will clean that up and define it. Bolder outline to correct and then come in with the colors you want.

Yeah, at least on the one on my neck. I'm not very happy with it. I went to a shop today and asked, its going to be around 200 to fix just that one, 80 each to fix the other 2. Gah.

Barter for stuff I didn't want. (basically free) I saw some of her work before she did it, and they looked nice. I'm not entirely sure why mine don't, because her other stuff does. I did NOT move around. She did say that I have a lot of scar tissue on my neck and it moved the needle around? The pictures were taken IMMEDIATELY after they were finished, so I don't think its infected. Doesnt hurt like an infection would. I'm going to let them heal and then go to a shop. I'm in CO, moving to AZ in a couple weeks.

Now the hard part. She and I got along great, but I only just met her a couple days ago. I don't want to be outright MEAN and say I think your work sucks, but she is expecting me to go back in 2 weeks to have them touched up and colored. I'm pretty disappointed with the quality and I'm not going to go back. How do I do this? Just avoid it? She's an aquarius/sag moon/scorp rising, if that helps lol.

lol I'm not crying. I've been through some shit in my life that makes this look like tiddlywinks. It can be fixed. Just freaking sucks, is all!

Amethyst, she did say she'd 'correct' it (and also free), but I kind of dont think she has the skill to fix it.

Yeah, I know Epithet. I went down and asked another artist, 200 or so to fix the big one, 80 ea to fix the other 2. The scorsagian isn't too bad, and there are only a few letters that are screwed up, the whole thing doesn't need to be re done.

I would wreck that lunatic like Ian suggested. But you're doing the right thing by remaining calm and looking into getting them fixed elsewhere.
At least they're easily covered?!

problem about covering work is that they usually are a bit larger and darker in color than the original one....and let's not lie, it's painful too...geeeeez

hehe why does everyone think this is so devastating to me? I know it'll look great once its fixed. 🙂 I wasn't really planning on doing them in color to begin with, just was this girl's idea and it sounded cool. So having it in black isn't that big a deal. If I could do it on myself, I could fix this lol. The lines just need to be thicker and smoother. If it was on a piece of paper I could fix it in like 10 minutes. Plus moving across the country I have a bunch of stuff to sell... going to be pocketing that money for tattoo repair 😉

I think people are trying really hard to be sensitive about your feelings...because those things are god fucking awful, and we're all thinking how pissed we'd be if that was us. :/
