Idiots playing God again

Drugs = Russian roulette

Doesn't this just prove it

Just say NO
Concur.

I actually hate the fact that I have to take medication for my physical health issues.
Just makes you sicker, it seems.
Haven't found an alternative, yet.
I read a case where a man had very painful arthritis and was given tramadol(?). After a certain amount of time, he was diagnosed with liver disease, even though he never drank alcohol. After some research he discovered the herb feverfew and gradually replaced it. The pain subsided and he was able to manage the pain moreso than when he took the toxic medication

This week I too started to take Feverfew and will see how it helps with my neck arthritis

Which medication do you take Mr. F and what for ?

Good grief, off the top of my head, I am taking about 8 Rx pills, per day.
Type II Diabetic, High Blood Pressure and a heart condition (I'm supposed to have a pacemaker, since 2004).
My line of work in the past, involved hazardous materials. Gas, liquid and solid compounds
that were quite deadly and among which, some can effect the central nervous system.
To this day, I don't sleep well and why you may see me post at any and all hours of the day.
I am fixing to see a neurologist and get an x-ray exam on my spine. My foot dr doesn't know
if the sensations I have is Diabetic Neuropathy or an undiagnosed on-the-job spinal injury
from decades ago.
Needless to say, constant pain 24/7/365, is no picnic.
I've been getting my healthcare through the US Federal Government.
However, I think cats, dogs and their fleas, would get better treatment.
I know, "I should be grateful".

@ Mr F.

If you wouldn't mind my recommendation...

Find yourself a good chiropractor and consult about your spine/ neuropathy matters.

You can also consult a good acupuncturist.

My mom suffered with sciatica for nearly 2 years. Traditional doctors just gave her heavy doses of pain killers to block out the pain. These meds weakened her kidneys. Although she was resistant to my suggestions, she eventually caved and tried what I told her.

In her case, chiropractic did not help, but the acupuncture did. In only 6-7 treatments the pain was COMPLETELY gone and never returned!! True story.

Can't hurt to try.

I also mentioned acupuncture...but carry on.

Personally, I have found both to be helpful and beneficial.
They probably do.
My healthcare access is limited. I don't think I can get acupuncture or acupressure therapy. Not sure about the chiropractor.

I'm kind of between yesterday and tomorrow, life and death. A period of finding one's self in no man's land. No easy answers.

But thank you for your suggestion, SNS. 🙂

That must all take a terrible toll Mr Firebird. 😢
Thank you for your concern. Yes, it DOES take a toll.

It's a life experience to be put into the forge and hardened upon the anvil.

The easy way out would be suicide. For some reason, though, I tend to do things, the hard way, with hard lessons learned, often, through
reflection and contemplation.

As someone else said, go to a chiro and even a physical therapist. They have a better chance of correcting your issues than traditional docs since they're about medicating, not necessarily fixing the actual issue (unless you have a kick ass doc who's educated beyond traditional med school practices). You should also seek out a RD if you haven't already. It'll help get the diabetes and hypertension down. Those two can be treated without medication if you take care of yourself properly.

In all seriousness, talk to your primary about physical therapy. You will likely have more success getting referred to one that'll be covered under your coverage.

Other alternative medicine bits are difficult to get covered, but PT is much easier compared to those two. Give it a shot and see if your primary will refer you out to one because of your symptoms. Neuropathy is a pretty good reason to go to PT. My mom had no issue getting covered for neuropathy treatment and she was under Medicare. The only hang up you'd come across is amount of time. Unfortunately, it's seen as "well you learned all the exercises, you can do them on your own."

I'll offer some of my prayers to you, Mr. Firebird. I had extrapulmonary tuberculosis in 2014. I take 4 capsules every morning either 30 minutes before breakfast or one hour after. It wasn't easy. I also had the fear/anxieties that it won't work. Good thing, I'm already healed. Prayers help too, Mr. Firebird. It relaxes you and give you firm hope that everything will turn out well. Just believe.

Thanks all.

All I can say is that it is what it is..... for me.

I am a life path 9 Scorpio man.
Some say the 9 is interested in the big picture, the interests of humanity around the world
rather than the finite interests of the self.
It's also been said that 9 is the number of endings and corresponds with the "Hermit" in
the tarot card, which I don't, personally, consult, let alone, follow.
When I research the subject, I always come across the "old soul" thing.
Sometimes the body and life, in general, makes me feel like I've been around a long while
and should have been laid to rest decades ago.

I would want to say more, but at the moment, I am extremely fatigued.

But thank you all for your thoughts.
