Dr. David Newman, a leading emergency physician practising in New York, has been suspended from seeing patients, according to officials at Mount Sinai Hospital.

The 45-year-old, who served in Iraq, is accused of giving a female patient with shoulder pain a shot of morphine after nurses had already administered pain relief.

the woman claims she was instructed to remove her top and bra to change into a medical gown for an X-ray.The patient then accused Newman of fondling her breasts, before he moved away from her bed.

The woman then heard sounds which led her to believe he was masturbating. She then felt liquid, which she suspects was semen, on her face

A nurse then apparently came into the room and found the woman unconscious. The nurse, later joined by another physician, tried to wake the woman and ask what had happened.

Once she regained consciousness the woman saw the substance on her face and chest.
Sources say she wiped the suspected semen off with a gown, which she placed in a plastic bag to give to police.

I've been admitted in hospital twice and I know that doctors do retain that nature. They make dirty jokes/looks/smiles. Even the female nurses make vulgar jokes and gossip. I've been there and being a patient you look at them like they're your Gods despite all the unease and shame..

Those experiences really made me immune to other people in general.. It gave me insight into human mind..

When I went in for for surgery once the female doctor said "He's now going to slip you a Mickey. Have fun." Then she giggled and I started tripping balls.

Come to think about it, I actually know a lot of doctors who got busted. There is another one who was chief of pediatrics in a specialized department. Smart as hell in terms of medical knowledge. He got caught browsing child porn at work.
