I raised an orphaned opossum some asshole put in my ex's truck at work as a joke.
I had him for a year,and I loved the little s.o.b.
they have personalities,much like dogs.
had to feed him with an eye dropper every 2 hrs., he was so tiny when I first got him.then he would snuggle in my hand or bra to get warm and sleep.
when he got bigger he would climb up my leg,shirt,and to the top of my head...because that's where the mama's make them ride,back or head.
after he got to be a couple pounds...that started getting painful,lol.sharp little claws.they have opposable thumbs and hands,just like us.
let him go at the nature reserve a few days after my mom died,to get all the pain over at once. lol
his name was petey of course....
I would let him out at night and throw cheerios all around the house so he could learn how to forage,and if I called him...he came.
he was a badass.
