- Would you ever enter a relationship that you knew was going to end in a year or so due to circumstance?
- Why? Why not?
- What is your moon and venus/mars sign?

I would and have. Its not something i would do over and over because one day i would like to settle down forever but I kind of like knowing that even though the situation is going to change and that this won't continue its nice to just throw caution to the wind and dive head first into the experience, fall completely in love, be completely open to the other person.

I have venus in gemini/moon in aquarius/mars pisces

There a famous pop song too that kind of deals with this. I was listening to it this morning. However the lyrics indicate that the person was too scared to stay which is not really what i am getting at but i like the idea of what the lyrics of the chorus are trying to convey,

And we can sing in the sunshine
We'll laugh every day
We'll sing in the sunshine
Then I'll be on my way

Yes, but a year would be too long. But I did so for about 5 months, because it suited what I wanted at the time, and I had no intention of getting serious with this person.

For me to commit to an entire year, I would need to know that this was a person I wanted to invest my feelings in and there where some wiggle room to work things out for a future. But if i just liked hanging out and fucking him, I may decide to continue to do that for that year I would so so without any significant commitment, as long as didn't interfere with my other options.

As long as both parties understood it was not leading anywhere.
I've been in a short one like that (less than a year).
We still keep in touch and are friendly, but live on opposite sides of the globe.
Also, it wouldn't be exclusive, either.

Sure, what the hell.

- Why? Why not?

Because it's all about the experience. I would rather say I have then regret having not.

Yes.
You never know what is going to happen tomorrow.
I'm an eternal optimist.
You could plan an entire lifetime with someone and they can get hit by a mack truck tomorrow.
What's the difference?
Only 'right now' is a guarantee...and now it's gone.

I SO agree with this. I dont know if it's eternal optimist because i'm also a realist. But, everyday is always a NEW day. Renew, refresh, repeat.....
death could be tomorrow or in five years or 20, you never know. That's honestly the "secret" of success.

Ehh, I want to say it's doubtful.

But knowing me, I would-- because I tend to believe that if it's meant to continue beyond that, it will.. regardless of circumstance.

Would I take up with someone for the sake of convenience that I had no real rapport with?

No-- it's nothing noble; it just isn't something that appeals to me.

Big difference... you don't know WHEN they are going to get killed a truck as opposed to knowing as in lets say, deciding to be with someone on his last stages of pancreatic cancer for an example. The knowing is why I wouldn't do it. But I think I'd be with a dying person if it made their last days on earth tolerable, other than that..anybody with that request can go leap off a cliff.

Ok, I need to point something out. This isn't just a scenario, it's life actually. You can be with someone til the day you die and unless you die together, that relationship also has an expiration date (which is the death of one of the partners)

Nothing lasts forever, everything is fluid.

I would never cheat myself out of any experience in this life but my mindset isn't about "knowing it will end for sure"...it's about..being in that moment and enjoying it, delving deep into it. The consequences and the loss don't even factor in my decision. To be honest, my inner world is already filled with so many fantasies...the outside reality bears no significance for me. I can start a relationship and end it in my heart and experience everything there is...without us ever getting together. If this manifests in reality...then all the better. If not, I still don't regret a thing.

I read somewhere in a topic about famous last words said to their partner and for Pisces it was:

"We'll always have Paris" (they never went to Paris..)

^Pretty much all there is about me in there. Paris doesn't matter, us bonding for a short moment in time does. Let's chase fireflies together until dawn breaks.

Moon/Mars Aries, Venus in Cancer.
