I’ve been in NC (No Contact) with a friend for 2 months and been friends for 2 years. He’s a dismissive avoidant and gets sensitive when given feedback. Mostly due to what he says bothers me. His birthday is coming up and conflicted for me to reach out or wait for him to?

If you want to end your NC, do it now. Don't wait for a day when several others are contacting him. That's the worst day to reach out, unless being (almost) ignored is what you are after.

Isn't it just easier to write "no contact" than NC (No Contact)...? Iz like, you shorten it but then still add the full word in parantheses so what's the point of writing the short term when you actually end up writing more than if you had just said "no contact" to begin with?

Just why? He’s not going to be any different. DA’s just drain your own power. Don’t give him that.

Logically I know. Emotionally, I’ve bonded with him over the past two years so its hard to just throw it away :/ unfortunately this happened again. Last time I deleted him from my socials when he decided to disappear, he was shocked and stated he just wanted space(without letting me know). Least I can say I tried to make it work without doing things impulsively
