Man Sticks Infant Son In The Oven
A Kentucky man high on marijuana and drunk on whiskey put his 5-week-old son in the oven Sunday and left him there overnight, police said.
The oven door was slightly ajar, and the oven was not turned on.
After smoking marijuana at the restaurant where he works as a cook, Larry Long, 33, returned home to share a fifth of whiskey with the baby??s mother, Brandy Hatton, McCracken County Sheriff Jon Hayden said in a statement.
Hatton had four or five shots and went to bed while Long finished the bottle, Hayden said.
At 5:30 the next morning, Hatton awoke to the sound of the baby??s cries coming from the oven. He had been in it for several hours, police said.
Emergency crews responding to the scene transported the infant to a local hospital, where he was found to be unharmed.
Long blamed his actions on the marijuana, which he believes was laced with a hallucinatory agent, officials said.
Authorities have removed the baby from its mother??s care and awarded emergency custody to members of her family

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - When a Tennessee jailer ripped the gold grill from a new inmate's teeth two days before Thanksgiving last year, it left the 31-year-old man in excruciating pain and left taxpayers on the hook for nearly $ 100,000 in damages.
Anthony McCoy spat out blood and teeth in a trash can and was in agony for more than a week after Davidson County Sheriff's Lt. Tanya Mayhew reached into his mouth and yanked out the grill, along with the cement attached to his teeth, said his lawyer, David Raybin.
The forced extraction pulled the enamel off McCoy's front teeth and left him with a damaged mouth that still isn't fixed, Raybin said.
City lawyers were planning Tuesday night to ask the Nashville Metro Council to approve a $ 95,000 settlement to avoid a lawsuit over the incident.
It happened Nov. 24, a day after McCoy was admitted to the Metro Jail on charges of contempt of court for failure to pay child support, two counts of violation of an order of protection and harassment.
When a guard asked McCoy to remove his grill while he was being processed in the jail, he said it was permanently cemented to his teeth years earlier.
In a legal analysis, the Metro Council's office acknowledges that Mayhew then reached into McCoy's mouth and ripped off the grill, causing an estimated $ 10,000 worth of damage to McCoy's teeth.

"A man and a woman retreated to their Volkswagen to have sex. Most likely the lovers turned on the engine to get warm," Interfax reported, citing a source in the Moscow police force.
During a moment of "intimate closeness" in the car in the south of the city, the pair inhaled the gas and died, the source added.

SARASOTA COUNTY — A woman videotaped herself having sex with two dogs and watching child pornography with a friend, authorities say.
Caroline Willette, 53, gave a CD with the images to an acquaintance, who turned it over to police. Willette has been charged with three counts of possessing child porn and remained Wednesday in the Sarasota County Jail.
Willette admitted to detectives that she had sex with the animals in her home and watched young girls perform sex acts on the Internet, an arrest report says.

An experienced tree trimmer who slashed himself with a chain saw while 40 feet up a pine tree died after refusing to come down for medical attention, according to a Pasco Sheriff's Office death investigation released Monday.
Daniel Antrobus, 48, was straddling a branch above a yard in the Tanglewood East neighborhood Friday evening when he accidentally carved a 4-inch cut into the back of his right leg, exposing the bone, deputies said.
Antrobus, a co-owner of the Bottom Dollar Tree Service, yelled out that he had cut himself about 5 p.m., employee Joseph Jaworowski told deputies. Jaworowski told Antrobus to come down from the tree because of his profuse bleeding, deputies wrote, but Antrobus said he wanted to finish cutting the tree limbs.
Christine Williams, another employee who had been dragging the cut branches, rushed across Sycamore Drive to the home of Elizabeth Hopkins, who called 911.
"He'd look around every once in a while so you knew he was awake," Hopkins said. "You think about it and you think about it, and you want to go back and say, 'You've got to get yourself down.' "
Pasco Fire Rescue crews arrived at 5:15 p.m., and within a half-hour Antrobus was strapped to the top of an extended ladder and guided to the ground. By that time, deputies wrote, he had gone limp and did not respond to CPR. He was flown to Bayfront Medical Center and pronounced dead about an hour later.
Connie Parrish, Antrobus' girlfriend and a co-worker in his tree service, said he had never injured himself during his 13 years of tree work. A trained welder and "good ol' boy," he lived in Moon Lake and had, over the years, become "excellent ??_ at bringing down trees," friend Jim Powers said.
Antrobus' friends, Parrish said, called him Monkey.
"He loved tree work, and he was the best. He loved the height," Parrish said. "He told me if he ever died, he wanted to die in a tree or fishing."

Oklahoma City man with '666' tattoo on his head arrested with disturbing contents in his pockets
Police found marijuana last week in the pants pocket of a man with the number "666" tattooed on his forehead. But it was what else they found in the pockets of 47-year-old Scott Brian Bradley that concerned them.
Police were searching for drug activity on Feb. 4 in what they described as a high drug-traffic area in the 8900 block of S Western, according to an Oklahoma City police report.
The officer who found the items noted that "the detective over predatory crimes was notified of the situation."
According to the police report, Bradley's jacket pockets contained:
?? Numerous pictures of young girls.
?? Four pair of women's panties
?? Three used condoms and one unused condom.
?? A 3-inch vibrator
?? Women's jewelry
?? A camera memory card
?? A shaving razor
?? A small plastic wire loop
?? A small children's rubber toy lizard.
"And other various items that are indicative of predatory behavior," according to the police report.
Bradley, who remained in the Oklahoma County jail today, is listed as a transient who was born in Sioux City, Iowa who has had prior felony drug convictions, according to court records.
Bradley was charged Wednesday with possession of marijuana.

29-year old Wang Chaoxu, who hails from the southwest Chinese village of Qixian, seems to have a nasty habit of killing children and eating their brains, believing them to be the cure for his epilepsy. 11-year old Li Xuetang disappeared one night, prompting his mother to become worried, and going so far as imploring the head of the village to make a radio broadcast on the off chance her song might see it.
Sadly, the young boy was found on January 23rd several hours later with his head opened and part of his brain removed. In a scene reminiscent of a horror film, a local villager by the named of Zhang Huansheng saw a man kneeling over the boy and holding him by the neck.
When Zhang approached the man, he passed the boy off as his son, saying —My child has passed out and I'm trying to wake him up. Baby, wake up, wake up.??
In addition to the young boy, a 3-year old girl was found in a public toilet with a knife wound to her head, and police are currently investigating whether the two deaths are connected.
