London's just nice except for the bad beer (even though they have Belgian beers) and the pubs closing at 1 am. Always lot's of interesting people to meet and stuff. Oh and you've got these nice little squares in the middle of the busy city where it's all peace and quiet. 🙂 And Florence, it's in Italy... 🙂 And the place to be if you like renaissance art.

Nobody would get me to Spain either, lol. 😉

What about the architecture in Florence? Care to tell?

Id love to go to France, but more provincial or the french alps!.....Cities freak me out a bit I would only go to see the louvre, eiffel tower and moulin rouge then Id be out of there because Id run out of money haha...

Omg I love french food which is why Id love to go to provincial towns and have the fresh produce from farms and artisan breads, cheeses and rich desserts. But above all I want to visit Champagne for a drink because they say its not champagne if its not from Champagne so id like to know what I've been missing out on.

What else is your favorite? How about Provence?

Why does everyone want to be there?

You know? I keep asking myself that same question.

It has a reputation of being the most romantic city in the world. I've been there several times and I don't get the attraction at all. I find it to be a bit of a dump compared to London.

Maybe I need to visit it in the summer, but I couldn't really care less.

The jury's still out on Rome and Venice.

Oh you guys! Please don't discourage me!!!

But why London or Florence? I actually want to visit Barcelona or Salamanca or Malaga, more than any other city. Please do tell!!!

The cinema-photography from the Florence scenes in "Hannibal" motivated me to take the train down, and see it for myself.

So how was it? 🙂

I don't really have any personal pictures of Paris other than Pont de l'Archevee which is really only for hopeless romantics

this is one of my favourites I had as my desktop for a while

Not because of the Aston, but because of the road structure. A lot of architecture in Paris is like that, just long sweeping roads that go on forever in a straight line

I think it being built like a "corridor" of Europe is what some said made it so easy to invade.

The buildings in Paris look so much alike. I wonder why people love to go there. I am more attracted to the fancy architectural styles down south in Spain. Talk about the Templonuevo de Sagrada Familia! 🙂

Because it is one of the most romantic cities in the world.

The architecture alone is worth the price of admission. Then, we have the cuisine at the restaurants, the fine art and museums, moonlit river-boat rides, and of course, the sweet sounds of slowly played accordion music on the street corners.

Versailles is only a short train ride away, and so on...

What's accordion music? Is that unique to Paris, France? I know I can google it but I want to know how it amazes/fascinates you. 🙂

All of this is really just a prelude to sex.

Alhambra in Southern Spain is one of the most peaceful places in the world imo.

You've been to so many places, Tiz. I envy you. I have never been out of the Philippines but once I begin my litigation practice, I will plan on a Euro Tour. I would like to visit Spain, France, Italy and maybe Austria. *I can't wait.*

When you get to mainland Europe it's much easier to move around man. It's just the trans-continental flights that are the hardest.

Why so man? If I were to go on a Euro Tour, is it advisable to start somewhere in Morocco and take trips towards north to Paris then down south again going to Naples, Italy?

Sure, if you want to be tagged as a human trafficker 😛

the North Africa-Italy passage is the biggest trafficking lane into Europe.

if you're in it for the architecture, I would start with Prague. It's beautiful, then move west into France and then south into Spain. Leave Italy till last. I love Italy but everything there runs late. I mean... everything... runs.... late. Your flight out of Europe will even be late if you take it from Italy.

Oh no. I really want to start off with Morocco so I can see the transition from Africa to Europe. Guess it'll never happen. 😢

"You go to where the men speak Italian, and then continue until they speak something else."

Putting it that way makes it a much easier sell. 😉

Seraph, if you want to visit a lingually-diverse nation, the Philippines might just be the best one for you. W have dozens and dozens of different languages. 🙂
