I notice quite a few men and women here seem to want to be in a realtionship like yesterday. I am not judging you or anything but there are worse things than being single. I know what you are thinking..that's easy to say when you are in a relationship and I agree. However, I do sometimes miss being single. So for all you single men and women here is a list of the perks of SINGLENESS;

When you put something in the fridge, it is there when you return.
You always get to watch what you want to watch on television..no fighting over the remote or watching something you could not care less about
You get to hang out with your friends any time you want, as late as you want.
You do not have to account for your money, or lack thereof.
You can leave the door open when you use the bathroom.
You get the entire bed when you sleep (and all the cover too)
If you want pizza for dinner, you eat pizza for dinner.

Don't get me wrong being with someone has it benefits as well. I just want more of you to enjoy your singleness. There will be moments when you will want it back. Trust me.

Feel free to add your own single perks !! Lets see how many we can come up with. Perhaps when you are feeling down, you can come here and read this list.

Funny ERE. 🙂 I am sure being a single man has a few perks. What about leaving the toilet seat up? If you have ever had a woman fall in the toilet in the middle of the night.... I think the scream can be heard round the world. LOL

I don't really get how most of those things are taken away when in a relationship, at least a good one. Maybe if you live with someone, yeah, but otherwise most of that really doesn't apply.

The only good thing I can think of about being single is not having to worry about what someone else feels/thinks about well, anything. And tbh, that makes you a pretty shitty friend too.

I feel really sorry for people who think they NEED to be in a relationship. Screams serious insecurity and neediness of others to be "happy." How sad.

Relationships aren't bad, but how pathetic are you to constantly NEED to be in one? My brother is in a relationship with one of those (the relationship is a rebound), and I'm worried something ridiculous is going to happen to him as an end result. I really don't trust girls who relationship hop/are needy for relationships.

Being single = less drama. Even if you're dating, you can weed people out when stupid drama arises. Once in a relationship, there's always potential for it to arise, but when it does, you're kinda stuck with it sort of. You really can't just drop the person as easily as if you were just dating someone for a few, I guess. The emotions haven't quite been fully invested yet.

imo being single is cool until you hit your mid-late 30's..FOR A WOMAN, that is.

if a woman is that old and still don't have a man, more then likely she's just not fit to be in a relationship..at least not long term..and if she has kids, thats even worse..cuz now you're unfit WITH baggage..just look at halle berry..she can't keep a man for SHIT..and she looks damn good

now for us dudes, it depends..because if you're successful financially, then its no problem being single..you can pick and choose almost any woman as you please..but if you're broke, then you just look pathetic..hangin out at clubs/bars in your mid late 30's, pickin up drunken whores and taking them to your studio/1 bedroom shack or even worse, your mothers house, is indeed a sad sight to see.

annoyed with your out of touch mentality with the current dating pool. Are you from the age range of 20-30? Do you know what it's like to date people in this age group from those generations- the same generations who are notorious for selfish entitlement?

Again, perk of being single = no drama of dating. "Deal" isn't an appropriate response. Don't be a sheep.

All of that & then some. In a relationship...If I can't watch what I want, I'll go in the bedroom. *problem solved*

Thanks Nem. The thread got hijacked, unfortunately. I really was trying to create a string of positives rather than negatives. I am not saying that when you are in a relationship you have to give up everything but I am saying that the most successful relationships understand that it is all about COMPROMISE.

Sometimes, you just don't want to compromise. Singlesness affords you the opportunity to be whatever you want, whenever you want HOWEVER you want. (for the most part. There are some exceptions...ahem...Pothead! )

Heres a perk, you don't have to shave(and other areas) you're legs all the time!

I must admit I find leg shaving a bit of a waste of time unless someone is likely to be fondling them.

All other areas are subject to the ususal rnap standard primping and preening regardless of my singledom.

"what the fuck where you thinking?!"

is a blessing 😄

...and no "why the fuck are you doing that?", or "why the fuck aren't you doing that?". No one to alter and/or criticize the person you are, what you do, or how you do it. No one to answer to, to explain yourself to, apologize to, or whose ass you must kiss to have something work. Deem my view irresponsible, but I do think it's smarter. Simplifies things rather than needlessly muck/fuck it all up.

I agree.

And yes... there are a lot of those here. Let guys get to them. But... I suppose it is partially attributed to why this forum even exists. So confounded and/or needy individuals can air their laundry, hear what they want to hear in the form of 'advice', and then go on their merry way. Suppose it can apply to both sexes.

a wise friend of mine says...

we're all crazy. its just about finding the craziness that is compatible with your own.

Seriously.. while I agree with working on yourself and improving yourself, definitely.. if I'm expected to be perfect before I start a relationship with someone.. and they are too.. I'll die single, and so will they.

I vividly remember the AquidiotPiscopath throwing a tantrum (seriously - bellowing, going ballistic) because I put red wine into a bolognese sauce.....
