I had a crush on this girl with an Aries moon.

But recently I came to the realization that certain personality traits of hers (e.g bluntness , favoring logic in scenarios that called for both emotional and cultural sensitivity) I previously attributed to her Moon sign may be Aspergers as these traits are also pronounced in Aspies.

Does anyone have any experience in dating an Aspie or person with an Aries Moon?

Or have a relative?

Maybe you are an Aspie yourself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you want to know about Aries moon? I have Aries Moon so from that part can provide some insights, about other part can't be of much help lol

Never dated anyone with Aries moon tho
Do you feel like you have any of these traits?

Common Traits

Social/Communication Traits

Despite a desire for friends, difficulty in initiating or maintaining close relationships

Problems reading non-verbal or social cues or understanding/using social rules

Very socially naïve and as a result are often taken advantage of, rejected, or bullied

Social contact may be directed by them (e.g. play is “on their terms” or not at all)

Poor (or intense) eye contact, atypical use of gestures and flat or inappropriate facial expressions

One-sided conversations, and little ability for “small talk”

May appear overly shy or overly extroverted, but inappropriately so

Unaware of others’ thoughts, feelings or perceptions resulting in inadvertently appearing rude or inconsiderate

Literal interpretation of communication from others

Avoidant of social contact or events, and may experience heightened anxiety in social situations

Language is learned and used in “chunks” (e.g., phrases, dialogue from TV shows, etc.)

Communication is used for delivering information or requesting, not as a way of interacting socially

Behavioural Traits

May respond poorly to changes, sensory stimuli, transitions, lack of structure, and restrictions

Repetitive movements (e.g., jumping, rocking, pacing) and speech (i.e., talking about favourite topics, interest)

Rigid, inflexible and rule-bound behaviour

Inappropriate behaviour given the social situation (e.g., speaking too loud in place of worship)

Exaggerated emotional response to situations (e.g., tantrums when asked to something that they don’t want to do)

Superior ability to focus on favourite activity or area of interest (e.g., spends hours mastering video game to the exclusion of other pastimes)

Cognitive Traits

Average to superior intelligence

Detail oriented approach to tasks which may result in missing the “bigger picture”

May have associated learning disabilities (e.g., non-verbal learning disability)

Often have high verbal scores in a cognitive assessment, and low performance scores

Difficulty seeing “parts-to-whole” and “whole-to-parts” relationships

Prefer technical/factual information over abstract

Associated Challenges

Anxiety and depression

Attentional difficulties (e.g., shifting attention; attending to unimportant stimuli)

Gross and fine motor deficits

Poor organizational skills (e.g., time management and planning, partializing tasks)

I have an Aires moon! I'll admit I didn't read all of that because it is really long and my attention span is smallish... but I skimmed it and yep! I can relate to almost all of it. I am actually really sensitive and feel things very deeply but everyone thinks I'm resilient and really strong because I hide it all.

Back to the drawing board.

maybe i liked this girl because of her aries moon and the fact that she is also an aspie

Moon in Aries

Nothing quite happens soon enough with this position of the Moon. There is an inherent impatience with getting what they want. Life is a series of emergencies for Lunar Ariens. They live in the moment and have a hard time waiting for things to happen. Whims of the moment take absolute precedence in their lives. This is a fiery position of the moon. Even if the Sun or rising sign is more low-key, Moon in Aries people possess inner passion and fire. Emotional issues take precedence--there is simply no pussy-footing around when it comes to dealing with the feelings. And, dealing with new sentiments and needs stirs up a huge desire for activity. Moon in Aries has a need for acting out their needs, with no time to waste. It is hard for them to see the long-term, or to wait for things to happen. Instant gratification rules!

Oddly enough, this is a very defensive position of the Moon. These natives take things very personally, and they deal with problems by facing them right away so that they can then get on with other things. Their flare-ups generally end almost as quickly as they started. Lunar Ariens have an unmistakable independent streak. They put themselves right out there in the world, and make an impression in whatever they do. Their self-confidence is actually variable. Although a strong personality is projected, Moon in Aries people go through plenty of ups and downs. Their moodiness is not like Cancer or Pisces moodiness--they don't withdraw into themselves or escape the world when they're down. Instead, they are temperamental. Some might say that people with Moon in Aries actually enjoy trouble and confrontations. Indeed, this position is easily bored with environments that are too peaceful. Their homes--especially their childhood homes--are often battlegrounds. They rule the roost, or at least want to, and are not the most peaceful of folk to live with!

Moon in Aries men and women are prone to have plenty of crushes and other short-lived yet intense desires. "Needs" and "wants" are indistinguishable to Lunar Ariens at any given time. In their minds, what they want is so powerful that it becomes an absolute need.

Others will appreciate that people with Moon in Aries rarely sulk or play any drawn-out games of manipulation. You can pretty much know what they want at any given time. They are generally ruled by their own emotional needs, and they're not always as concerned about others' needs during these "emergencies".
yeah i've read this several times

this description fits her too.

the last bit though can also be interpreted as Aspie traits though

Aspies are straight forward and also struggle with theory of mind / understanding others emotional needs which could manifest in them seemingly only being concerned with theirs

but in reality it never consciously occurs to them what their partners needs are

idk

If you can focus read description I posted earlier lol for me at least makes MUCH more sense and is 99% accurate

Yep! That's me too! But i have a tendency to withdraw into myself and need a lot of alone time to recharge because social interaction is exhausting for me. My cousins son is 21 now but he has autism so i read about it when I was younger and I learned the eye contact thing and consciously make eye contact with people but it's uncomfortable as hell. I make friends easily and people want to be my friend and call me their best friend because I am a good person, i volunteer donate to charities, I'm generous and help and do little things and am very considerate even to strangers but i don't like making new friends. People take advantage of my goodness and they always expect more because they are ungrateful so I just like my old friends. With my boyfriend however, he's Aqua and stares into my soul and I am comfortable with eye contact with him and am extremely affectionate but only with him. I don't even like hugging or kissing my mum and dad because it feels awkward and uncomfortable. If they say I love you to me, i ignore it because it's too awkward and uncomfortable.

Is she an aspie or are you just assuming? Because sometimes having a rough childhood means you put up a front for self preservation as a defense mechanism but it's not necessarily a reflection of ones emotional state

I assumed she was just extremely guarded at first

and also that the other things I mentioned before had to do with her Aries Moon

but in hindsight all of those things are also associated with Aspergers

also the way she talked about her current boyfriend , her ex boyfriend and her close friends

at times was w/out empathy...though she really loved these people...it was atypical

she also had no tact.

in general the way she processed / interpreted things was really unique

her mind fascinated me....

it's why i think i was drawn to her...unlike other girls.

it's been theorized that i may be on the spectrum as well.

aspies are supposed to be drawn to one another

I believe the guy Im interested in has an Aries moon. Cap sun.

He definitely has some things such as adhd which he takes med for.

He also has very little patience to wait for things, he doesn't like being around many people, very blunt, likes confrontations, emotionally needy in some ways, and some of the things you mentioned, I honestly thought he had Aspergers too, the way he thinks, does things, how smart he is, all that just makes me fall for him.

I've known him for about a year and a half.

I've never asked him if he has it, because after being around him it wouldn't make a difference if he does.

or maybe those are just Aries moon traits.
