Group dynamics are both astonishing and disturbing. It's amazing how easily people are influenced, and how weak-willed the human mind can become when put into a group setting. We begin to separate individual from the collective, and transfer responsibility from ourselves, placing it onto the group. I suppose this justification removes guilt.

I still don't get it.

I don't get how a person can be so desensitized to violence and suffering. So flat.
