I saw that about 3 years ago. It still haunts me. Actually, as good as the message of the film was, I wish I hadn't watched it. Haunting, just haunting.
It is a good example, though, of how children don't have prejudice.

i saw the actor who played Remus Lupin from Harry Potter.
this film was so sad. Through the eyes of an 8 year old boy who doesn't understand what his father does (his father is a Nazi commander) this is a time/era of SURVIVAL for many, but of a dark dark time.
as a child he has these idealistic images of his father as a good soldier, a good man helping people have a home.
