Some films get all the hype, awards but as you watch them they tend not to be worth it. What are some of the most overrated movies you can think of?

Avatar.

Sci-fi Pocahontas.

avatar is a great concept and has amazing effects but it's way sentimental. Have you noticed James Cameron does these BIG features but you wtch his film again after the hype and somehow you feel empty? Same with titanic man.

I get what you're saying. Avatar does have amazing effects but the idea/story itself is really nothing special to say the least, and there is such thing as too computerized. Honestly, I was bored out of my skull half way throughout the movie. It was pretty to watch, but that was about it for me.

It's also reaching the point where most of the trailers are more rewarding to watch than the films, which is utterly ridiculous.

I never watch trailers these days. They pretty much summorize the whole film. I know it's the journey that counts, but most mainstream movies are not better than their trailers unfortunately, so the journey is hardly worth sitting through after you seen the summary...

There was a time when trailers were a work of art in themselves & actually made you go "wtf was that about? I gotta see that".

Paranormal Activity movies are hilarious. 😄

With all the hype around that first one, I thought I'd be scared shitless.

people don't know how to make horror, horror tends to be very comedic lol

but from the trailer 90% of the time you can tell if a movie is gonna be kak or not. I hope tom's edge of tomorrow doesn't suck it looks interesting
