Have you seen the movie?
yes I have seen the movie

I heard its a very weird movie, but i want to check it out.
I think the movie won't appeal to everyone..or the mass..it certainly has some scenes or notions that some people might get uncomfortable and be squeamish about..
but for me, the film was enjoyable and thought provoking
you may want to check out the plot..(but not synopsis..spoiler would ruin this movie) before watching it..as the movie doesn't seem for just everyone

It's a great movie.
May I ask..are you woman or man?
just..with every men I happened to have a talk about this film..they really got scared just hearing the synopsis lol ...it must have been that... ca. . . phobia/anxiety..(I will not spell the word down, because I don't want to spoil the movie lol)
I enjoyed the movie and now am wondering if the novel which the film is based on is any good as well 🙂
I think the actress was beautiful in the movie..where have I seen her? I thought when she first appeared on screen...and then I remembered... yes, from savage grace..with julianne moore...but she was a minor role in the film
Ah, loved it! Definitely one of the best movies of that year. But reading about the novel after seeing the movie, I remember I was disappointed Almodovar didn't stick closer to the source material. Still a great movie.

so you didn't get scared??
now I respect you!! lol
I usually get on the source materials first as much as I can do..because I like to compare source materials and their adaptations...and like to see what kinds of differences were made into the adaptations
but with this movie..I did not know there was a source material..not after I finished the film lol
surely reading the book after the movie..would be somewhat a ruined experience....like, I already have these scenes from the film which now would very probably interfere with my own imagining/imagination on the novel itself..it's like what you have seen and experienced cannot be undone.. and this is another reason why I try to get my hand on the source materials first & before their adaptation.....I want some first-hand experiences...not tempered by others...
then I watch, feel, and enjoy adaptations...finally seeing and looking things through/under others' lenses..which is interesting itself and brings me surprises and new insights..
do you think but still, that I would find some new and different things from the movie by reading the original book?
you wrote it was disappointing..but was there anything more than that perhaps? :o
Loved some scenes, was outraged by others.
There was a canadian movie about a chick who ate herself to death..Dans ma peau I think it was called.
Now that...was weird.

that definitely sounds interesting!
I will check that out 🙂 thank you!
I loved this movie it is was awesome!!!! I love a twist!! and I was just mortified!! I love almodovar, loved "volver" and "all bout my mother" theres something about spanish films really take you away same with every other world movie i guess??_.antonio was awesome and so is elena??_I was obsessed with her when I was young I watched van helsing and thought she was the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. I looked her up on the internet and joined her fan page and she didn't come out with anything till this and I was shocked because I didn't recognise her till the credits.
the back ground music for this film was good, too, in my opinion, it suited well to the film's atmosphere..
Yes I actually downloaded bukika after watching the movie??_.the black woman who was singing amore at the party was awesome

the movie is based on a book I heard..
I also heard that the movie is a bit different from its source
has anyone read the book?
and if so, how much difference between the film and the novel?
is there any movie similar to this, too?
