I think the last scene of The Last Samuri is pretty bad ass.
Where after being beaten and broken from the war of swords against guns to present the emperor the man who's army he fought against with the sword of the last official samuri of Japan... to honor his memory. Great story of how a man who cannot forgive himself, hates the world, and doesn't believe in anything finds himself again.
When the emperor speaks in this scene it is the first time he has spoken the entire movie AND he chooses to speak in English.
Mhm... Al Pacino was simply extraordinary in Scent of a Woman. You don't know when his acting is better. When he speaks or when he's completely quiet. I think that scene in particular made me fall in love with tango as a dance.
Another hot tango scene. And Richard Gere in this movie... Ha!
Wow CC, I didn't know you were so deep. Some nice picks there for sure.
There are so many to choose from, most of which can't even be found on TubeCount "due to copyright infrigement". I really like Indian Runner (1991), it has some solid performances and it's written and directed by Sean Penn , a fellow Leo w/ Cancer Moon.
It has some major Cancer moon moments in it, lol !
"Life lacks tenderness "
Love this montage too.
No biggie but I've always liked this scene from "Reflection in a Golden Eye", from the late 60's.
From "Time of the Gypsies" (Emir Kusturica, 1988)
Seemed like a given choice 🙂
Louis Cyphere: No matter how cleverly you sneak up on a mirror, your reflection always looks you straight in the eye.
"Angel Heart" is one of those movies I saw in my teens that creeped me out more than any "traditionl" horror movie could. Film-noir meets Dante's inferno & Mickey Rourke does the best performance of his career imo (well, apart from "Wild Orchid" 😛 )
favourite lovemaking scene from my fav anime - Mind Game
Bruce Willis is the quintessential Pisces man.
The initiation of Michael Carleone
Son reinsuring his worried parents? Good god how many times have we been in this situation?
Sometimes the price of friendship could be burdensome
Oi guys, can anyone help me out here? Ever since it came out last spring I've wanted to see this French film - Le temps de L'aventure, or Just a Sigh, as they translated it. Starring Emmanuelle Devos & Gabriel Byrne. Can't find it anywhere though, to see, buy, download, anything. Does anyone know a good site with a big library of movies to watch where I could have a good chance of finding this gem?
***** SPOILER ON "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL" **************
I love the end scene of "Life is Beautiful" where the little boy is reunited with his mother after the Americans liberate the camp they were all detained in.
I also love this:
"You are Dances With Wolves, and I am Wind In His Hair! You will always be my friend!!!"
If you have dry eyes during that farewell scene to a truly epic film, then there is something seriously wrong with you.
Blue Valentine - Ukelele scene
The Mask Of Zorro - Swordsmanship
Crash - Invisible Cloak
The Mask Of Zorro - Duel
Men Of Honor - 12 Steps
Big - Piano
Pirates Of The Caribbean - Fall
Pirates Of The Caribbean - Wheel
"Here's the twist. We find out that the killer really suffers from multiple personality disorder.
He's actually really the cop AND the girl. All them are him! Isn't that fucked up?"
Literally ROFL'd first time I saw it! 😄
A Beautiful Mind - Stars
The Bucket List - Skydiving
Love the opening montage & the score to this relatively unknown indie gem,
makes me feel kinda nauseus-- and pretty much sets the tone of the overall film. 🙂
I Am Sam - Love
Confessions of A Shopaholic - Letter
Batman- Who are you? I'm batman..classic..
Where did they stop? In front of the T-rex paddlock.. What happened to the goat? Haha...Jurassic park..
