I can't claim to be a huge rap fanatic but every now and then someone drops a few verses that I enjoy. Outside of sheer enjoyment I never though of rapping as an intellectual/technical pursuit. For me it was about a good beat or a good message. I'd hear rappers use terms like 'bars' but never took it upon myself to delve deeper.
