Recently I have not been getting on too well with my cat and she has taken to spending nearly all of her time outside (despite the cold/wet weather). Recently though after coming in to eat she went to hide underneath my bed and slept there for two whole days (at least, she didn't come out for two days). Is it normal for cats to sleep this long? I was getting worried about her. Do they sometimes sleep even longer than this?

did she get out now? I would be worried too. I havent seen my persian sleep that long, the longest I think is at night which Im not sure how many hours but she is a light sleeper.

Yes she is out now and I am not letting her back into the bedroom again (at least for the time being). I would prefer her to sleep in the lounge but she doesn't seem to want to. Last night I let her sleep on the stairs and then I found that she had pooped twice on the stairs despite a litter box being available. Maybe the litter box is dirty but I don't think so.

She pooped on the stairs because she is mad at you.
