Awww, have finally nailed the best combo for my birdies =)
My African Ringneck parrots have discovered cucumber and apple juice! They're like little kids, sooo cute!
Houdini holds a little stick of cucumber in one claw and as he munches he takes delicate little sips of juice... While Madame tries to steal his vege when he isn't looking.
Hehehe love these guys!

I have to say, when I got these two it was a rescue effort and I was sceptical about how personable they would be...
But they can be just like little people! Munching away =)

Awwww budgies are such little champs! Yes their chirping is so cheerful! They make great low maintenance animal friends.

Welp, we have a cat too,
but I stopped to browse at a pet shop and the old lady was selling her business...
She only had birds, lots of birds, and these two were a couple that had been together a long time and she wasn't sure how to get rid of them.
Our local RSL (pub) takes birds for their outdoor aviary but would there be room for a couple?

Well, they talked and whistled, they loved to show off and play so my heart just went out to them.
She gave us the cage, toys, bowls, and birds for less than half price.
I figured we would make it work =)

Our cat is very good with them, they are good with each other actually. Everyone knows we are all family! The cat will stalk bush turkeys and lorikeets on the deck but with the Ringnecks she is so blas? lol

Hehe I mucho love cats. I know what you mean though, our puss' behaviour surprised us too!
It's illogical but that's the magic of animal friends, when they are family their complex personalities shine!
How cheeky are they! Cuteness! Mine - Millie, she's too lazy to jump where she shouldn't lol but she drives me nuts when she gets too excited and climbs the curtains!! Haha!
